This was so easy to relate to and honestly very nice to hear. I just recently started interning at a local bakery that specializes in decorating sugar cookies. You’re spot on about how you have to adjust to doing something different than you usually do in your own kitchen. Also you’re 100 percent correct about being more relaxed at home. I guess when you’re working with others you get a sense of needing to fulfill your duty? It’s hard to say. Amazing video though. You did a beautiful job with those cupcakes :)

If it were any other friend, money would definitely be the currency, but we do a lot for each other behind the scenes so although sprinkle pay might seem minimal, it’s definitely more than enough for me. U mentioned that in commercial where many coloured buttercream are easily accessible, did u mean that someone else just mixes a large batch and has them ready for u or they outsource to make the process easier?

They’re able to make them in large quantities and colour them. This particular bakery colours and makes their buttercream from scratch, but some do purchase ready made in bulk too!

A question many people want to know do bake shops use box cakes like Duncan Hines? I've heard that many bakeries use box cake because it's easier and faster just curious and when you're selling cakes do you make your cakes from scratch or use box cakes and Doctor them up just curious since you don't keep any secrets hahaha!

Bake shops, in general, if they were going to use a cake mix wouldn’t use something like that. More than likely they’d use a pre mix that they could buy in bulk from suppliers. I personally made everything from scratch! I was “afraid” of box cake mixes lol which is a little silly because honestly they can really be boosted up into something stable and delicious.
