For lifting, you can start off with a small bead of clear acrylic first before applying the color acrylic :)

I know this is old and I probably made a statement when I saw this originally, but what I was going to say is if you haven’t already Natalie, to stop lifting from any type of colored acrylic or an acrylic that lifts, put a base of the acrylic that does not lift on u down first. It’s like you’re encapsulating. Put a thin layer of the acrylic that doesn’t lift on you and then put any other type of acrylic you want on top and you will stop your lifting. Even if it’s the cover color, a natural color, if it lifts on you put down the acrylic that does not lift on the first.
