Is there a reason why you don’t lift when bringing the bit back up to file down? Also I notice that it’s quite difficult for you to get the top coat off in a timely manner, you probably need a fresh one . Have you tried to slow down , add a little pressure , maybe put Rpm at 11-12 , and then in one stoke start from left to right and bring the bit down. Does that make sense ?
