Better to struggle a little in your own yard than out at camp while it's windy or gettting dark. Thanks for the video. I just got Kelty Backroads Shelter and I think it's going to be just what I was looking for.

I have one that I can use either on the back or the side of my square drop. I am sure you will find it easier each time you set it up. I had a 180 degree awning on the passenger side of my square drop when I bought it, and everybody seems to love those, but this is so much lighter and more functional. I probably will get a 2nd one so I can have one up in both places at once.

@@BareBackBroncos How? What did you do differently? I'm all for learning from other folks lessons so I don't have to suffer 😅 And I won't tease you for it! It's a valuable service 👍 Edited to add: I know that generally speaking, pooing where you cook is frowned upon, but do you think there's enough room in there for both a cooking station and a toilet? I have a marine thetford porta potti and the good stuff to keep if from smelling. Just wondering if this would also save me the time and effort of a dedicated potty tent? Edited one more time to add: Are you sure that short pole is supposed to go under the longer poles? Because the longer poles may be putting too much downward pressure on the short pole. I have an agnus tent and the short pole over the two long poles goes over the top of them.

Pull the straps to the front of the vehicle. Wind will turn that tarp into a sail. Do not clip the hooks onto the poles till the poles are in their pockets or grommets. The short Brow pole goes across the top of the two longer poles. Take a breath and take that dog for a walk, it could use it. Stake it down using the loops along the leading edge of the tarp, straight to the ground, that is why they are there.

I have a video where I used it during winter camping. I didn’t have any problems with it. The poles seem fine, I did anchor it down well. I could see where wind may cause it to flap if it’s not anchored down.

Well this video was good in two ways. One, Many folks will decide NOT to buy this, and Two, maybe you should have practiced before making a setup video. I know it's not easy for one person, as I've found out. But knowing what goes where is the important part. I had to practice twice before third time was quick and easy.. Bravo for even trying!
