You are absolutely spoiling us Dweezil. Your dad is one of my favorite guitarists of all time. This has all that Zappa mojo but with the virtuosity turned up to 11. Even with all that great music Frank made, you are still one of his greatest creations. Thanks brother.

Dweezil could have chosen ANY kind of music to play, any flavor of rock and roll, bluegrass, jazz, country, any instrument, any genre...and he chose to stay true to the form his father took total ownership of. And I'm glad he did. We need this creativity and variety even if some of us don't listen to it every day.

Can't wait for the show in Rochester, NY. Multiple displays of what's being played enhances the viewers understanding of the complexity of the music. Great job on the video editing.

I was at the St. Louis show at the Pageant. It was a fantastic musical experience start to finish. I will never forget the extra experience of getting to talk to you up onstage after the soundcheck and q and a. You were humble and patient with questions from the small group of us and very generous with your time. I even remember how encouraging you were to the younger kids there and telling them never stop playing music because it always rewards you for the work you put in. To be perfectly honest, I had been in such a rush to buy my ticket that I didn’t realize that the experience I paid for included that onstage conversation. I think you are an extraordinary musician Dweezil, but I was so impressed by how genuine a person you are. I’m still thinking about your playing that night. Thank you for sharing your musical gifts.

Amazing musicianship! I played in a cover band of your father's music. The most technically difficult musical experience of my life. But also the most rewarding. I felt I became a better guitarist for the effort. I've seen the Zappa by Zappa shows a few times. I saw the first ensemble with Vai and Bosio. What an awesome show! Keep up the good work!.@@thedweezilzappa

It looks perfect ( and in 4K!!!! ) and sounds terrific! Great job Dweezil ( DZ-you might want to submit this for an Emmy at some point. I'm not certain what the entry rules are but, if this is part of a larger project, you may have a winner on your hands, in terms of the editing/production style -Having a Grammy and an Emmy could bring a little more " shine " to your life! )!

...and again it blows my mind... I was 16 years young when friends took me to a Zappa concert in Düsseldorf (Germany). I had two older brothers who were avid record collectors and Zapp was on all the time at our house. Anyway, the concert went on for 2.5 hours (!) and there wasn't a single break between the songs (!!!). The only moment when the band could relax was an incredibly long drum solo by the then still very young Chad Wackerman. It blew me away, completely. Well, and now I see this video here...and it blows my mind again. Actually, it's nonsense to compare the two events - I just want to say that the name ZAPPA obviously stands for quality! Very well done, Dweezil. I really like it when the musicality is the most important thing. Recently I have video with Pick Withers (he was the first - and best - drummer of Dire Straits). He said in the interview that he left the band because the “...musical conversation between the musicians was lost in the wake of the band's success...”. That's an important point, because for me as a listener/viewer, that's exactly the point through which the music lives and is relevant. An artist reveals himself, shows his heart and soul....you can feel that as an audience member. You simply know when something feels REAL.... Thank you for this beautiful video!!! Thank you very much indeed...

Wow Dweezil, that was spectacular....the whole band...there is this thing that happens in your solo section that just seems to get where it comes off that no one knows quite where the 1 is, and everyone in the band doesn't care, because they all are confident that they can lock it back in...just awesome...ir just sails off like someone let go of the helium filled balloon just to watch it as it goes...I haven't heard anyone go off like that since the Crossroads solo in Cream....it was most awesome....
