The haka is a war song. "I may die for you. But I will live for you." Hana is the youngest MP in New Zealand's 170-year history at 21. Maori means the original inhabitant represents New Zealand. SHe responded to the opposition attacking his home, the Maori community, in this way in Parliament.

... NOT the original inhabitant (despite that being the loose translation of the name). The Maori wiped out and reportedly ate the previous inhabitants, the Moriori. @@scruffygaming627 I’d like to read that report, because the history I know about is how the Maori came to the Moriori and killed them or enslaved them. As I recall, the Moriori didn’t live on mainland NZ. The Maori indeed were the agressors and the Moriori lived by a pacifist law “Nunuku”. But eaten? As I said. Point me to the report please, because I’d like my concept of history to be as precise as possible.
@scruffygaming627 Жыл бұрын
@@Traitorman.Con.14th.Sec3 Indeed, the The Maori brutally invaded a peaceful NZ island of Moriori, slaughtering a 12 year old girl and hanging her flesh on a stake, then slaughtered large numbers of non-violent Moriori , torturing, and splaying alive on the beaches to slowly die in great pain. Enslaving the rest and ritualistically eating some (as they reportedly did in other encounters with Maori/Europeans). The reports of Maori cannibalism is ritualistic, written in correspondence by European missionaries, ship captains logs and expedition reports. @@rexguy7823 Firstly, perhaps you could grow some balls and ask "these Maoris" about the Moriori. Regarding the "age to be an MP", do you know that Dame Jacinda Ardern became an MP while she was in her 20's? Can you work out why she kept on being re elected every 3 years between 2008 and 2023? Did her constituents think she was too young in 2011, 2014, 2017, and 2020? That's a lot of times she was re elected, don't you think? And what do you think of the historical result in 2020, when she was really only just hitting 40 ( after being in politics for 23 years, and being an MP for 12 years? Do you think we would've been better off with an older guy like Boris in charge during the massacre and the pandemic? Or perhaps a really old guy like Donald? Or perhaps someone the age of the Aussie prime minister. Do you remember NSW just a few years ago? Do you know the median age of Hana's people in Hauraki- Waikato? I know the answers to all of this because I am a Kiwi and I care. I am not a racist from a different country, with a different religion, who has opinions that don't match any of ours. The median age of Maori in Hana's electorate is 23. She is really in a good position to represent her people. Nanaia Mahuta is a totally awesome leader, but it is the people who decide. Not you. And not me. It is offensive to me how you speak about our Maori people AND our world renowned prime minister who saved around 70, 000 lives. I remember what went on in India. It was not nice. The whole world wished they could be here. I will be watching this wahine toa with great interest. A revival has started.
