Ive been to Medellin a few times and its by far my favourite city in Colombia. Nevertheless, well done for going alone into some of the areas you walked and while holding a camera, you did kind of push your luck in the central areas . Im also a big fan of the bandeja paisa.

Es un placer ver como recorres lugares de mi país, soy de Medellín pero lamentablemente debo darte un consejo (que ya te han dicho otros) y es que si bien es un país hermoso y Medellín una ciudad encantadora, también es muy insegura... Si puedes ir acompañado por la calle mientras grabas sería mucho mejor para evitar una mala experiencia, hay mucho amigo de lo ajeno ... Un saludo!

Por ejemplo, podrías haber visitado el Museo de Antioquia, el Parque de las Luces, el Jardín Botánico comuna 13, el Pueblito Paisa entre otros. Esa es la mejor forma de comer bandeja paisa, no se disfruta si se come refinadamente jaja. El origen del plato es que antes las personas que trabajaban en el campo tenían largas jornadas de desplazamiento, por lo que necesitaban muchos carbohidratos que les ayudaran a aguantar eso. Los dos primeros jugos son de sabores fuertes por que son frutas que generalmente se dice que son afrodisiacas, por eso se mezcla con vitaminas, se toman en reemplazo a los energizantes artificiales. La Bandeja Paisa is seriously one of the most horrible plates of Colombia. Plaza Botero was full of prostitutes and other dodgy people. They sweeped the place so 'normal people' could do their thing in peace. Why do you ignore those giys who were telling you that os is very dangerous to walk around with a camera? Tjey are absolutely right. Robbers shank people for a lot less tham a camera. Don't act like you know better than local people!
