THANK YOU! Someone just said they wanted to use some Mondial Relay express and asked me to fill out a form with my Name, Surname, Phone number, and postal code so they can send someone to pick up my product. I wasn't sure if it was a scam or not, but this helped me out.

It happened to me too, I never heard about this scam and I thought nothing about it, so they took over my Google Voice number and tried to get loans in my name. Thankfully I enabled Fraud Alert on my credit bureaus, so they would have to call and talk to me on my cell number and the bureaus have questions & answers to quiz people if it is really me.

Well they never want to chat by video call or meet in person. They mainly used the same script talking about trying to be safe, them asked for codes. Mostly Nigerian scammers in my experience 😢

I just got scammed on marketplace. Was buying a Mac book sent the guy half the money. He dipped and elected his account and posting. Ps just cause the person has friends and other listing doesn't mean there legit😢

Sorry to hear that. Report it and get a fraud number. Contact your bank and let them know it was a fraudulent transaction. Sometimes your bank can reverse the charges.

Yeah mate, I got scammed just last week here in Perth. They fking stole my $250 I just wanted to buy a camera and they had a shipping offer on their product, so I paid for it and as soon as I did, all of their info just disappeared and I couldn't even see their old messages. I'm so scared of them having my full name (I mean they do), my BSB and account number.

Sellers do this to unsuspecting buyers all the time! Sellers bait you in with a 500 dollar discount on major items brand new in box. Who knows how they got it? But then they ask you to do all sorts of things to buy it.

9 out of 10 people on FB nowdays immediately ask for your phone # so they can call. Then right after they ALL ask can I send you a code? I now tell them before they can ask "and no you cant send me a code if thats what your about to ask next!"

I’ve had this happen several times and it isn’t till now that i thought of asking the scammer what program uses a code for verification? Just as a way to catch them, Id play as a curious person interested in a more easy way to verify someone is real then, you know, ACTUALLY meet the person face to face. Like, ‘Use a code to verify someone is real? That’s amazing! What GENIUS program do you use? Id love to use that myself so i can keep myself safe.’ That’ll quiet them up.

Just tell them you don't do transactions outside of FBMP because it's in the ToS to keep all communication before meetup in chat for buyer and seller protection. This is true and prevents this scam.

Some softwares can steal ur information by using texts. The biggest one is used by governments and you don't even have to open it. But most need you to open the text message , so be wary of random text messages

There are 2 scams that I know of one is the scammer asks you for your phone number, if you give them it they will send you a code, and if you type in that code they will have access to your accounts, the other one is they will ask you for your zelle account and ask for your email and phone number if you give them this they will hack into your zelle account and take your money
