Remembrance ceremony for Nampa police K-9 Riddick

I almost left while the pastor was talking since I'm not a religious person and was getting a bit fed up, but I stuck it out and I am superbly glad I did. The pageantry was so impressive and moving. Silent and respectful to an officer struck down in the line of duty, every move a copy of the moves other services have passed down through the police forces around the country so that every fallen officer receives the same honor and sorrow as another. I was leaking tears through the diary, and as the other K-9 officers paid respects. Thank god that in these times of division we can come together to follow the traditions and share the sorrow and the glory.

A friend of mine that works for the city of Nampa Fleet told me the whole story. When I heard about this the next day, after driving home the night before and seeing roads blocked off, it saddened me so much. I drive past these knine units several times a day. Knine Riddick is a true hero.
