Watch Review: Hamilton Khaki Pilot Pioneer Auto Chrono

I have this watch as my sole watch for 4 or 5th year now. Went to service two times, first because it kept slowing down, second because I dropped it on the concrete floor and the chrono activator was stuck and could not be pressed. Overall I tend to abuse it alot, even with shooting or swimming, but they keep on going precise after the last service.

how much did it cost to service? I've just got mine recently and loving it so far.

@@timwynn6079 I do not remember the exact price, but it was around 300 EUR for a complete maintenance. It was done in Swatch authorized repair shop. The second service was done for free as it was inside warranty period of the first one.

Great review throughout, I'm also considering of buying this Hammy in black dial version for less than 700US$. Would you recommend this Hammy for almost every day to day usage for the long term?

Pretty much. It is robust. I would say the main thing to note it is pretty thick so if you wear long sleeves (such as dress shirts) it could be an issue then.

@@WatcheswithDennis with your recommendation I've pulled the trigger on this Hammy (black dial). :D . I don't normally wear long sleeves shirts so shouln't be an issue for me.

My favourite watch. Currently on a brown leather strap. I love it.

I never wondered what it would be like on another strap when I had the watch. I really liked that nato. Best one I've ever had.

@@WatcheswithDennis I had it in the nato and liked it, then bought the metal bracelet but went back to the nato, the nato always made it bulkier though, so I got a soft light brown strap which is great. Happy now :)

Is the crystal domed? It doesn't seem like it.
