WATCH: Ring camera captures drive-by shooting in west Charlotte

A quiet Thursday afternoon near the Camp Greene neighborhood suddenly turned violent when a drive-by shooting took place in broad daylight.
One neighbor said he was just feet away when he saw the gunshots ring out right in front of his home.
“I mean clearly they didn’t care about human life they were just firing anywhere."
That neighbor who wished not to be identified said he had stepped outside just before 1 pm to grab the trash cans from the curb. That’s when he said he noticed two suspicious cars pull up. Moments later another car drives past-what the neighbor believes was the suspected target-- and then bullets began to fly.

First, I expected drive by shootings to have more driving by. Maybe that's just me. Second, I like how the reporter lets us know this shooting was unexpected. Its a far change from all those shootings the criminals let us know about in advance.

I mean what did you all expect once high crime neighborhoods were gentrified and you move in and try to "take over" the West side that it'll all stop? Well surprise surprise yall wanted to be in the "Historic" Camp Green then there's your prize. It's sad to say the least and I really hate when people do these kind of unsafe things with no regard to innocent bystanders. I'm glad nobody was hurt or worse dead. Stay safe over there. But the reality of it is, this is historically known throughout the area. Sorry your realtor companies didn't explain the true history of the Wild Wild West. So before you run and purchase property in these patched up neighborhoods do your own research.

It’s a terrible and sad trend in our neighborhoods, Latino on Latino murders and Black on Black murders it’s a daily occurrence in our inner cities from Lost Angeles to Chirak! These young men think “keeping it real” or being “gangsta” is the way to act! But little do they realize that a murder affects families in a traumatic and everlasting way that there is no healing for both parties. The mourning mother and father and family and friends. We need to get through to our people to wake up as the unfortunate “powers that be” want us to kill one another! I’m just sick and tired of all of these senseless homicides and b@llish!t! We must be kind to one another my brothers it’s not about having the biggest b@llz, it’s about being humane and reacting each other!

Like it or not minorities aren't going anywhere and theres nothing you can do about it. Minorities will outnumber whites in a few years. Your grandchildren or great grandchildren will more than likely be non white and again theres nothing you can do about it. So you might as get over it because btiching about it will only shorten your life span.
