I see what you mean. I think it's because he was wearing long sleeve tops with it, because he wore it right when he wasn't wearing long sleeves. The sleeve pushes the watch forward and makes it hard to keep it at the wristbone, unless you can bring the sleeve over it, but then you won't really see the watch. I also find it hard to keep it on the correct position when wearing jackets or long sleeves. My philosophy is: allow it only with long sleeves. Other than that, it goes before the wristbone.

I hate to wear my watch so tight that it actually stays in one place. It feels very uncomfortable to me. Therefore I wear my watch fairly lose and there’s zero wrist mobility issues. I’ve switched to Nato straps 3 years ago and never looked back, but even with the metal bracelet my watch was on before, mobility was never an issue. I love Nato straps! They come in a multitude of different colors and color combinations that are simply not possible with leather, they’re comfortable, much longer lasting and considerably cheaper than leather and if they’re cool enough to be worn by James Bond with a suit then they’re definitely cool enough for me. The watch placement of 5:27 is perfect for me! Anything further up the arm is a massive no-go for me, especially with button down shirts because the way you wear your watches means you have to roll up your sleeve to be able to tell the time, which sucks big time!

My dad aka "always good advice guy" bought me my first watch and he tried to convince both me and seller that loose strap is better than a fit one... Wearing a watch above the wrist bone often requires a tight fit but with the wrist swelling over the day the watch either sits too loose in the morning and therefore below the bone or it is too tight in the afternoon which is very uncomfortable, especially with bracelets that have no fine adjustment mechanism. My watches are mostly older ones, from 15 years ago when fine adjustments were not a thing yet. So I tend to wear my watches more on the loose side, especially in summer.

great video but the "which wrist" part is nonsense because that's not actually a conscious decision. I'm right-handed and yet I wear my watch on my right wrist, always have and always will, simply because it feels natural to me. Just like picking up a pen or kicking a ball, you don't think and "select", you just do it.

I love wearing smartwatches. I hate my wrist bone I have to wear it above my wrist bone even though I dont like how that looks. My wrist is skinny and wrist bone pops out which makes me unconscious wearing the wrist low on the wrist because it lands right above the wrist bone and it hurts.
@karhuedc72334 жыл бұрын
Watch position depends also on the watch case & strap selection. If the case has smooth edges (e.g. cushion case) in combo with 4 or 2 o'clock crown and elastic strap (there are even "elastic" bracelets like jubilee out there) - it is gonna be OK in any position. Also to mention, watch manufacturers usually officially recommend to wear watches a little bit loose, because it is simply unhealthy to squeeze the wrist too much.
@derekwallace1955 Жыл бұрын

You will usually find there is a difference in your wrist size between left and right of around 1/4", some watches will fit and look better on one wrist over the other so try both when sizing the watch. In my collection I have watches that sit better on my left wrist and others that sit better on my right so they are put on whatever wrist gives them the best and most comfortable fit.

Some people like big watches, ask people who wear IWC big pilot. I have a mid size Rolex yacht master and even my wife said it is too small and doesn’t want to wear it. I don’t think it will go back to small watches. Look at Rolex, they just release a white gold yacht master and increase the case to 42mm as well as their submariner from 40mm to 41mm. However, dress watch can be smaller, such as the Patek Philippe Calatrava.

Hey mate, about on which fist to wear the watch, I reckon that the most common being on the left fist is maybe due to how the time, and or what is there to be read, is shown to us. I learned something in college once while studying Ad Design, which is the fact that when you take a word and spin it 90° clockwise, our brain has difficult reading, as if the word was upside down, and when we spin the word anti-clockwise our brain can read it almost normally. And as we sometimes don't bring the fist up and turned horizontally enough to see the time, but kind of diagonal, the time would then be read easier if the watch was on the left fist instead of the right one. But, that's just my theory and something I was thinking about these days, because I just ordered a watch after 20 years without needing or wanting one, and was trying to decide on which arm I'd wear it. I have a small ganglion cyst on the left wrist and was wondering if it might interfere with the heart beat reading or maybe start hurting a little.

I'm left-handed and watches are made for right-handed people with the knobs being on the right side of the watch for them to access the buttons with their right hand. So, they can easily wear the watch on their left hand or non-dominant hand. For me, however, to have a right-handed watch, made for right-handed people on my right hand (non-dominant); defeats the purpose of the buttons that are also facing to the right. So, I wear my watches on my dominant hand (the left). Nice video and I just subscribed.

I've recently began my obsession as a watch collector. And i must say- out of all the luxury brands I've been researching, for me the amzwatch's watches are the most intriguing.

Hey Alex, I've got a question. How am I supposed to wear a watch before my wrist bone on a suit? I mean, the sleeve will be on the way. Any tips on that?

I have tiny wrists and even a 40 is pushing it on me. It feels hard to find good watches that are smaller than that

No way man! Sooo many nice smaller watches. Definitely do a little research and you’ll find beautiful pieces :)

AMZWATCH has set a new standard for replica watches. Their craftsmanship is impeccable. Its hard to tell the difference from the originals

"Rules that we ALL need to follow?" Heh. Young man, you are still learning the rules A gentleman does not define rules for others, he lives by his own rules. Bad form to try to dictate to others what "the rules" are. Simply bad form. Ah well...

The rules are just so you don’t look stupid; everyone is allowed to look like a moron, of course.
@chefduane37423 жыл бұрын
@@elihollingsworth6852 Well I did assume that one would conduct himself as a gentleman, just not be so arrogant and haughty to assume that HE makes the rules. But I agree, one can conduct himself as a moron if he wishes.

I wear my watch loose, at the end of my wrist - girls wear it tight, higher up the wrist and you do look like you spend more time in front of the mirror than my girlfriend, so thanks for the advice, but I'll pass. We don't all aspire to look like a yuppie - some of us have got swag!
