Macy's actually sells some decent watches online. They have special edition watches by brands, such as Hamilton, Tissot, and Rado that can only be found there.

akapen sensei naw it just depends on the area the Macy’s is located. If the Macy’s in a very rich neighborhood or a major business district then they will sell all these brands . In Lenox mall in Atlanta they sell all those brands. I’ve also noticed comparing last year to this year a couple other Macy’s locations have started at least carrying tissot which I would consider a beginner Swiss watch brand.

Teddy has come a long way. Now opening his own store. I'm real happy for his success. To anyone wondering his online store is highly recommended. The turnound time is a little inconsistent. But that's mostly because some stuff takes them a while to get. Straps and the like. But the service is unbelievable. Plus supporting real people and not just some souless corporation. Deals wise it's good. Someplaces are a little better. But these guys actually know what they're doing

I've wandered through Macy's recently and they seemed to have a pretty huge selection - Hamilton, Tissot, Tag, Seiko, Citizen, Rado, tons of fashion brands, etc. Could be that it was one of their flagship stores (State St. in Chicago), but ... lots of choice. Probably 2-3000 sq. ft. dedicated to watches.

Nice video, next time you have to try Costco, TJ Max, and Marshalls. I found my Seiko Kinetic GMT for$140 at Marshalls and I bought my wife’s Omega Constellation automatic at Costco for less than $2000. Keep the good work!

I'm not quite sure about other Macy's store but ours in Herald Square NYC actually sells Tissot, Tag Heuer, Breitling, Baume and Mercier, and even Rolex, each with their own separate section in the "Fine Watch" department. I usually stop by after work just to see if anything new came out with Seiko and Citizen. You'll always see sort of markdowns for those two, but you'll never see markdowns for any of the Swiss brands they carry.

Actually, Sams Club does carry Breitling from time to time as well as a few other premium brands. Not sure if they are AD or not but their prices are usually well under retail and they don't have a large selection.

Yep, I really enjoyed this one Teddy! A good look at what is available at local department stores...and a good look at just how bad the service can be at some of them! If it's any consolation we have the same bad service problem in Australia....so it must be a global thing! I personally liked the Casio Duro from Walmart. Didn't look too pretentious.....just a good solid watch with good water resistance....looks like it would make a great everyday work watch. Really like the idea of Thrift shops & garage sales....be interesting to see what treasures turn up!

Female watch collector here. Kohls is a great resource for Seiko and Citizen and Bulova, the key is using their sales, coupons, and Kohl’s cash to your advantage. I just got a Seiko “5KX” for an amazing price at Kohl’s.

Man the thing that stood out to me was the bad service everywhere. With service like that why not just buy online. With Kohl’s though, the key is that they will stack discounts. Sometimes they’ll run watches 35%+ off and they you can use coupons and their credit card discount on top. You will usually get Kohl’s cash too which I use for various work clothes, socks,etc. basically you can get a good deal but you have to work for it.

The thing with Kohl's is that you're never paying the sticker price. They ALWAYS have discounts and coupons, you just have to be on their email list. I've purchased that exact SRPC93 you paid $330 for at Macy's, at Kohl's for $270 (after tax).

I had a hard time finding the right band for my first military style watch and my casual watch's band is too big for my wrist, despite the fact that it looks great. Finding just the right band to take advantage of the look and feel of the watch can be quite difficult.

I got a great deal on a Seiko Presage at Macy's. The sales assistant even sized the bracelet for me at no extra cost. They also had a good selection of automatic watches including Alpina which you won't find at many other places.

Just my experience, never leave out the local pawn shops. *In Particular.* the nice side of town. High End Pawn shops are where people get rid of high value watches that they're bored of, with low concern for how much they get back. I've had a few real wins.

Macy's is an authorized Seiko dealer. I have been able to get some good deals on Seiko at Macy's. I think the Seiko you bought was a good deal and it comes with a Seiko warranty. Service, though, is poor, which is one reason Amazon is doing so well.

One of the kids was looking at watches and all of a sudden we saw these clearance watches. They were Timex Marathons for $4.00 each. So, he bought one, I picked up three for future gifts. Plus, I picked up a Casio digital... a 91W for $4.00. A few of the Marathons were sharp with contrasting colors and finishes, red and silver accents.

Kohl’s has a much better watch selection online than in store. But their holiday deals are outstanding! This Christmas I picked up a Bulova classic leather 97C106 in gold, for only $100! While that watch is typically sold for a $275 sticker price. I personally get most of my watches from Amazon, Kohl’s, and Ebay. With Kohl’s, you really have to keep track of the deals they run in order to get the best price.

Funny that you picked the Timex Easy Reader, I picked that watch a couple years ago before I went on a cruise to the Bahamas. Wanted something not too expensive to snorkel in and get beat up on excursions. It looks clean and simple too and for only $35, can’t go wrong with Timex. The ones at Target like you said are fashion watches and the Weekender line is a great watch to pair with their clothing. You can put together a great outfit at Target, watch included for under $100.

Yep, it’s geared for a coupon/sale mindset. The mark up the price then have “sale” and further discounts for coupons to get the actual price. It endears a certain type of customer making them feel like they got a bargain.

The trick at Kohl's is to get a Kohl's credit card so you get their flyers that have discount coupons - 15, 20 or 30%. The Seiko he paid 330 for he could have had for 100 bucks less. Everything there is overpriced unless you have the 30% off. I've bought stuff there like vacuums and small appliances that I've gotten cheaper than at Costco.

Casio Duro 106 is also Bill Gate's choice. i owned the previous version that is now discontinued Casio Duro MDV-102 if i remember correctly, that is more costly but has additional LIGHT and light Button and have smaller Case diameter size but has a beautiful DOMED glass ! also same 200m water resistance.

I’ve shopped all the same stores you did and I can always beat their prices online. But it is a great place to actually see the watch and try it on before you buy it. So I use them for what they’re good for. I hate to overpay for anything but if it’s five bucks on a Timex I don’t really care.

Great video and definitely do some more. The Casio Duro is FANTASTIC watch and great bang for the buck($38.00 on Amazon in December) I'm on my 2nd one (1st one stolen) and gave 2 as Christmas gifts. 10 years ago I found a GREAT Wenger dive watch at Costco for $35.00 As part of a Valentine's gift special.

Got a fair deal at Boscovs a 100.00 Armitron after taxes and getting ( which probably isn't needed ) batteries and replacement....$61.00, it beat A--zon for the same watch. When I get the chance will go get a Citizen Eco. And the CS was impeccable and very friendly.
