Something about you two, you guys have chemistry. When watching each alone, Kevin is a little un-relatable, Teddy lacks the pizazz. Together they form a perfect pairing. I just wish Hamilton would do more screw down crowns. That’s been the one thing keeping me from buying. I understand in that price range it’s difficult to have screw down crowns but it makes a big difference.

I’m baffled why men find it cool to wear. If You want to wear a rectangular watch go Monaco, Santos or something similar, not a ladies jewelry piece.

@@quinnlessard8236 Everything seemed kinda legit I gave my address and then was told that the item would ship in 2 hours and He would cover the Taxes but I needed to choose my shipping option and pay for that. While is was only $50-100 it seems too good to be true. Personally I think that based on his videos Teddy seems like a real Gentleman and if was really going to be giving away a Longines Spirit for free, pay any import taxes that the $50 shipping wouldnt be a issue. I offered to pay after the item arrives. The reply was I guess I will give it to another Subscriber. Now if this was the real Teddy then I apologize for not just sending the shipping cost, I love your videos and if someone else gets the Free watch congratulations. But It felt a bit sketchy so I passed.

This has been the best collaboration I’ve seen from these two. All the commentary is on point and Kevin really surprised me in this video. I graduated from high school recently and I’m aspiring to buy two watches from brands that have been discussed by the both of you. These brands being Tissot and Hamilton. Teddy’s selection was great, but, the sheer variety of Kevin’s dials cases and price points take the win this time. For next time I think that Teddy should go more out of the box with some IWC, Omega, Rolex, Hamilton, Tissot, Rado and other brands that are usually not in his repertoire. Love the video guys keep up the great work you two are an inspiration for aspiring watch collectors.

By nabbing that gorgeous Breitling, Kevin comes out on top! They also make a Burgundy dial "Boutique only" version of the Breitling which would be my choice. Really like how the numerals at 2, 4 , 8 and 10 are truncated to allow for the sub-dials.

Breitling has always been my favorite watch brand, not only are they affordable but as someone who had dyslexia as a teen and struggled with reading watches quickly, i very much enjoyed their Airwolf and Aerospace models that feature a small digital screen and are perfect to wear casually every day.

I have loved watches since I was a kid. My preference is numerals vs marks on the dial face and I have an affinity for the field watch look having numbers for each position and the inclusion of 24-hour time. Thank you Teddy for the great videos.

I’m addicted to internet watch content, and this series is one of my favorites. The contrast is fun- it’s like the young college professor going shopping with his rich uncle from out of town. Best watch is a tie, but Kevin has both-the Breguet wins the Horology award by a mile. That movement is totally unique. And all hand finishing. The vintage Rolex wins “coolest watch” award. That’s the historically “true to self” Rolex, and not something you’ll see on anyone else’s wrist……unless it’s a Tudor black bay pro!:) Great show!

Problem with a lot of homages is they're not even water resistance, and getting parts to fix them can be a problem

@@donmongoose you see that right there is why you shouldn't do homages, the point of owning a watch isn't to keep getting another one if it breaks and it WILL there's just no avoiding that. Not to mention that 100 meters is just resistant against normal wear like the shower or maybe the pool. I can't tell you how many homage Rolexes I've fixed, they're not as bad as they used to be but they're not made to last and all that money you waste buying another one could have been put towards a authentic pre-owned one

Secondly, your maths is way off. I bought a seiko mod kermit style for £290. The rolex version costs around £16,000 - £19,000. Sure, if I had Kevin's money I'd get the Rolex but I don't and I could replace this cheap watch every year for the next 30 and still wouldn't have spent as much.

Its absolutely amazing to me how mechanical watches have once again gained such popularity. In fact, the enthusiasm seems much greater than ever. I never wanted to fix these as a career because I didnt want to destroy my love and satisfaction of bringing back to life a broken watch. However, since there are so few watchmakers today, the business is incredible. So much so that I cant handle it all and I am having trouble recruiting someone that wants to, and has the capability of learning the trade. Be careful now of fakes. The Chinese machining has become so accurate it is nearly impossible for anyone, including most in the trade to tell the difference. Soon, in order to spot a fake, we are going have to look exclusively for hidden machining anomalies on the movement that even Rolex themselves never intended.

​ @Joshua Verni Started working for a wholesaler putting crystals in watches on jewelers row in Philly mid 80's. Got interested in repairing quartz watches since the older watchmakers hated them. So I fixed their quartz watches and they taught me mechanical. Moved to Florida with an EE degree in hand but ended up working for an aircraft instrument manufacturer fixing/building their instrument panel chronographs.

Teddy had a winning collection before Kevin stole the chrono. The Tudor doesn’t compliment the rest of Teddy’s pieces, but the chrono would have rounded it out nicely

Teddy wins by a mile. Rose or yellow gold on the Breguet, iconic GMT master, a touch of finery from the Germans, and a Reverso ('nough said). And I'm going to consider the Breitling neutral. Kevin has wonderful taste for sure, but with just picking dials ends up with collections lacking in the kind of overall power and presence of Teddy's, especially when considering the level of chemistry of horological and historical significance in the overall collection.
