I want you guys to know that this watch-along home theatre thing is one of my favorite interview-type videos I've ever seen! Such a cool idea and so much fun hearing the inside scoop of this film. With Leigh's Wolfman movie coming up this year, I really hope you guys could do this again, or something similar, because this is so engaging and so personal, I enjoyed every second of it. Thank you for your work!! Such a delight to watch!! Make sure to tune in for Leigh Whannell's Wolfman!!

Leigh Whannell directed a great cyberpunk action body horror film called "Upgrade". It's really good in my opinion. Whannell is also a pretty famous horror director as well, as he along with his friend James Wan (Aquaman) co-created the Saw franchise and the Insidious franchise.

AA VFX you have to pay - this s’il just be displaying the actor, you have to rent the movie. If you actually read the screen it says “rent the invisible man and watch along”

They're probably doing that to make back all the money they lost from corona. Plus they think more people will rent it due to the fact that there isn't much to do under self quarantine. Not that I'm saying 20 dollars for 2 days is reasonable

Theaters typically charge $10+ per ticket (it's actually around $17 where I live) so just two people watching it pays for itself. Also, this movie in particular is worth every penny!

Patrick Beecroft a theater around me cost $7.50. $5 if it’s matinee. So when I am the only person watching it that is highway robbery. Also, it will probably cost less to actually OWN the movie on bluray.

This film is a wonderful modern spin on the, truthfully rather basic, HG Wells story of an evil scientist who makes himself invisible for the sake of being able to hurt and kill people with impunity. This basic concept became a basics for a more specific goal that the charector had, one that ties into specific problems in society. The idea of the "invisible evil man" was always about the unseen psychopaths of society and how they never get tied to their crimes or how their evil is never seen as belonging to them due to the facade that they cover themselves with. The potion, in the book, or suit, in the film, I take as a metaphor for this facade. This film specifies the unseen evil to that of domestic abuse. And very cleverly too👍 thumbs up Leigh! You are a truly great film maker 😁

Is there a FAQ page for the online theater? I gather we tune in here at showtime and someone tells us when to press play. Is that right? Are we meant to watch movie and commentary on two different screens? Is the commentary interactive and/or subtitled?

This is not only a brilliant and intelligent movie it is also challenging to social norms. An excellent and powerful film. So many homages to the great 80's in his office in particular John Carpenter. Carpenter also did a ground breaking Invisible Man movie in Memoires of an Invisible Man. Sadly a failed film but brilliant in other ways,. Lets go with the movie. The sfx techniques were extraordinary in MOAIM. How did you do the INVISIBLE the science of the suit is scary real.. Loved the opening. And so impressed with the Hitckcockian feel.

I thought the first 2 acts of the film were brilliant. The movie starts to slowly decline towards middle of the 3rd act, and has an unnecessary, tacked on final scene. The movie was about 10 minutes too long, otherwise, i thought there were a lot of great moments. Definitely worth watching 8/10

The movie is so interesting in the domectic abuse subject that it’s almost a shame, that there is an actual invisible man in it. It would have been great if the invisibility was more metaphorical.

@SzymonAdamus 4 жыл бұрын
@@danielpayne7414 Can you elaborate or is that it? :) The invisible man in a high tech, cool suit feels very gimmicky in this movie. That's because the domestic abuse subject is made with taste and gravitas. It really hits the viewer. Plus Elizabeth Moss is absolutely amazing in this role. I know that it would have been a very different movie (that would not earn 130 mln $ :), but it could have been a great drama about abuse and consequences of it. How hard is it to get better after it. How impossible normal life gest for abused people who got free. With a guy in a cool suit all of this is still there, but the katharsis comes faster and the drama gest lighter very quickly. We get good monster movie, but not as good drama. Saying all that I still appreciate that Whannell wanted to say something more and combined the two worlds (drama and action) in such a way that this movie says something about important issue and still is a entertaining horror movie.

If it didn't have the invisible man... it wouldn't be called "The Invisible Man". The whole "it was all in her head" shtick is too played out. I thoroughly appreciate the integration of real life domestic abuse situations and the Hollywood flair of all the special effects and an actually interesting take on the invisible man

I really enjoyed the movie, I thought everyone's reaction was pretty reasonable (except the psych-ward guards) for the situation and position they were experiencing this from. SPOILER-SPOILER-SPOILER Someone thinks that the 2nd suit was a plot hole but I don't see it.
