That's exactly what desperate women have been doing since time began. Saying No thats not allowed never stopped things from happening ALTOGETHER. I'm against abortion in principle but recognise reality. Illegal abortions cause more damage than those performed by clinicians. Contraception should be freely and widely available to anyone who needs it. That will prevent the need for most abortions. Proper support, without judgement, for those beyond the first 16 weeks should be provided for those who would rather give up the child for adoption. The idealised every child is special and wanted by its parents can only ever be that - an ideal. I wanted all 3 of my children. I recognise that many people are in a bad position or simply don't want to be responsible for bringing up a child. Emotional arguments are rarely, if ever, rational. Better options are sensible.

I would give large leeway to criticize our government even in time of war but would consider drawing the line where it clearly aids the enemy or is clearly intended to aid the enemy. Furthermore she turned over to the N Vietnamese documents given to her by prisoners in the hopes those documents would yield better living conditions and allow the world to know of undocumented prisoners. Lastly she was videotaped touring enemy weapons installations and sitting in them wearing an enemy helmet. None of that is free speech. She should have been tried for treason.

Given that comedy can be cruel, and even mean spirited jokes can be funny (aka George Carlin, Rodney Dangerfield,) not always right, but you could at least nervously laugh at it; It says a lot when any comedian goes stone cold faced. And Jane's shrug when the others suggested that she didn't really mean that, that 'you know the other side will take that and run with it', moment is where the others let it slip through just a bit that they agree with her.
