Dave, I need advice from a auto guru like yourself. I own a 2019 Honda Insight that's pushing 70k in mileage. It's worth 19k with Carvana, but I think I could sell it privately for 22k or 23k. I have the title, so I pocket it all. I have a good friend about to get a new Macan and he owns a 2015 BMW X1 xDrive35i with around 60k some in mileage. It's been in a garage and has been maintained. He said Carvana offered 15k for it. Would you sell the Insight and get that BMW for 15k and then pocket the savings? I'm thinking it's a solid deal but I know some Beamers mess up and can be very costly. Any advice or insights about BMW would be helpful.

Is it really called "Oh blank" handle? I wonder why they put those in cars. In case you experience a roll over? Nice review. Car/CUV seems a little small for my taste. I prefer to get a wagon or hatchback if you're in the market for a small crossover.

it has an exhaust silencer flap one one pipe - I've found that on mine when the engine is cold it stays closed, once you get it above 20mph it opens up almost permanently. The car sounds really nice in person under load, and has a nice turbo whine to it. Not the best sounding car at idle stock, but what do you expect out of a direct injected 1.9L i4?

its just the chirpy whistle sound is annoying but you would know best as you drive one. Have you had any issues with yours as we are looking to get a new ride.

I would go test drive one. If you don't like heavy steering feel, you may shy away though - its a pneumatic, which I love. I have the AWD version, moved up from a 3 series because I live in NH and this year is proving why the extra ground clearance is helpful. I ride a motorcycle all summer for fun, so this is purely a DD car. It has plenty power for normal use, the ZF transmission is an absolute gem, and I get 32-34 mpg highway, though much less around town (mid 20's which is to be expected from a small displacement turbo) My one caveat would be I got the X-line model (much nicer rims and snow package, heated steering wheel etc) but you need to option the heck out of it for it to feel as nice as "real bmw". Mine fully loaded with the LED headlights (a must) and terra seats (looks awesome against white) w/ bronze trim. I got mine for $38k because I have a good relationship with the owners there but it was about $43k invoice. And one funny thing you wouldnt think of but when the car is wet, if you roll the windows down, because of the shape of the car, water will drip directly on to your shoulder/arms and interior of the car. Annoying when it rains quick then dries out and I want to have the windows down and I'm getting dripped on haha Ive had it for a bit over a year and have 18,000 miles on it, had the ECU act up (essentially a check engine light) and got it re-flashed and was fine. Its basically a luxury impreza wrx

What are you smoking? Under power? This thing is faster than the Acura RDX and does way better mileage too. Also handles much better. You can buy your outdated RDX which went downhill from it's last gen and has sold 50% compared to BMW. Audi Allroad btw is a car that starts at $15k more so you can't even compare. Please do a little more research next time before making false statements.
