I accidently put the differential fluid in the wrong fill plug tonight, the one on the left side of the car that is circled in your video. I feel like a total idiot! How do I fix this? Can I siphon it out or did it contaminate my CVT fluid? I was able to fill the front differential from the port on the passenger side but don't know what to do about the fluid in the wrong fill hole. Please help!

Also if you have the overflow plug pulled you’ll have the fluid pour through letting u know that your correct.

Hello and thanks for the video! On my Crosstrek my 2018 , the exhaust pipe is there, making reach for the fill plugg on drivers side (left) impossible. But on the passenger, right side there is a plug which seems to be fill plug as well. A bit confusing, because my exhaust is on the drivers side ,in contrast to images you show

Just wondering, what's directly behind the filler plug? I tried to get a sample of fluid and it was pretty hard. I used a pvc hose, but wondering if I could use a 90 degree bend aluminum tip next time or would I scratch up the backside of the ring gear? Thanks.

Hey man, what do you mean by right hand side of vehicle? I am assuming you are talking about driver side? Is that correct?

Hi, does anyone know how much current mistake can cost? Didnt get any oil from overflow check holl during oil change last week. Today get extrem hard stop on highway. Oil leak everywhere from front diff, both sides. Able to start engin and switch all gear positions (D, R, N, P), but car i not moving front or rear. Will it be enouth to change front diff only, or gearbox etc can be also effected? Also how easy it can be done, didnt find any good guide on yotube. Or its just oficial dealer in that case.
