Thank you for this! I heard about adding less bedding, but I never heard it explained as well. I'm doing that now because, I started with.. at least 6 inches of bedding when we 1st brought our little dude home. And he was hiding the entire time. So when I transferred him into his bigger enclosure (we had issues with the niteangel enclosure we ordered), I only put about 3 inches of bedding in because I wanted him to #1, have enough to feel safe. But also have him kind of forced to get use to us, instead of hide. He seems to be adjusting beautifully. I'm still trying to figure out his schedule to start training. But I'm planning on adding more bedding in a couple of weeks. Also, I'm Naturally an anxious person... I wanted to make sure he was doing ok. With this being our 1st hamster, I just wanted to play things safe at 1st.

Oh YES!! I always give only 2-3 inches of bedding during the taming process or whenever a hamsters health needs to be monitored. You see them more frequently, which allows you to spend more time with them or check on them! Love all that you shared!! Thanks for sharing! ✨🤍🎉

This bothers me as well. It's great if you wanna be an ethical breeder but when you create babies on purpose it's a sale imo. Unless you're a 501c charity, giving a hamster you can't take care of away, found a hamster outside etc, it's not an adoption it's a sale.
