I have the pro Angler 14 absolutely love the stability and the room only down fall was after launching and retrieving it I decided to buy a trailer and that definitely solved the weight problem

Yes, it is..... Chad Hoover already spoke of this 11 months ago, the Industry "standand" is NOT A STANDARD and is very confusing. 500 pounds does not mean 500 pounds can be put in the kayak. Here is one example- My Kaku Zulu is listed at 85 lbs hull wt. and capacioty of 500lbs .... when on a scal, bare kayak - it is over 105 lbs. I asked the designer and maker of the kayak and he stated the wieght is from the total Linear Resin pellets used to make the Kayak... that means the wieght doesnt include any hardware, rivits, screws, or whatever else is on the kayak, just the plastic pellets used to roto-mold it.

@@SargesAdventures There are kayak manufactures (ie: bonefide, old town, etc) on what you say is true, but others manufactures (ie, Hobie, Wilderness Systems, etc) already factored that in. Chad uses bonefide...

I find the front hatch doesn't close/seal completely when the tub in used. Bad engineering. Very disappointed with the seal. Otherwise a nice sled.

Interesting. I haven’t had much of that being an issue. I’ve heard of people shortening their bungee straps in order for a tighter seal after they have been used over time. Maybe that could help?
