On my nearly identical 3 cup induction model, the manual suggests that after the keep warm mode activates, to fluff up the rice with the plastic paddle and move the rice inward away from the outer edge and form a mound. This keeps it from drying out.

This rice cooker takes about 45 min to cook for 1 cup of rice. Missed the old cooker that done the job in 20 mins.
