I’ve had my Zojirushi for 28 years, it is used at least once a week. They still provide replacement parts for it, hi high I’ve only had to order a release valve once or twice. Perfect performance for almost three decades. I even use the original cooking insert.

This is awesome - I've been watching Hoon's Coffee channel for a couple years now and was excited that he has a Zojirushi as I'm looking for a good rice cooker. I know he'll give a great and honest review!

I have the similar 3 cup version for about 5 years too. I prefer to rinse my rice in a separate rice strainer basket in order to protect the coating of the bowl. I didn't know that the small plastic piece on top was removable so thanks for pointing that out.

Just myself, it's usually 1 cup white or 1 cup sushi rice. For only 1 of 2 cups, the smaller model in theory should perform better than the higher capacity versions.

Question: will these 3 cup items do well with 2 measures or so of rice, e.g. start in the AM, run the rice, and then get two or three servings during that day?
@Bob-on8hf19 күн бұрын
@@dennisyoung4631 Not sure if I understand your question but if you're only preparing 1 or 2 cups, it's better to choose a the smaller 3 cup vs the larger 5 cup and larger versions. The keep warm feature claims to keep the rice without drying out for I think 10 or 12 hours.

Your video was what helped me decide to buy a Zojirushi. I just got it in the mail today and used it for the first time. It's excellent. Thank you for you videos Hoon.

Just replaced my Tiger, which I had for 15yrs, with the Zojirushi 10. Hope it last as long. Thanks for the video.

I have had one at least 10 years. Do not use it often. But it is the best of all the ones I have had in over 40 years.

Been using Zojirushi Rice Cookers (2) for over 15years. Only complaint is that the clock battery cannot be changed. When it dies, it's dead. Good review.

Awesome video, I just purchased the 5 cup one today. Your instructions and video have helped. Where did you get the bamboo steamer, and utensils you use for cooking. Do you have a video on utensils you use?

That is a very nice rice cooker my good sir. I have been holding off on buying one. Haven’t seen too many people make seasoned rice more of plain white rice in rice cookers. (Jollof rice, Mexican rice, dirty rice)

Look on KZbin for Rice Cooker recipes. They're out there. I have made many different "meals" in mine.

Thanks! I have a cheaper model that works alright but was thinking of upgrading to a nicer tiger or zojirushi model.

Question, Hoon…if you’re on a low carb diet, how much rice are you eating? I am struggling with this dilemma.

Thank you so much I’m shopping for a rice cooker I have a Aroma rice cooker and it didn’t last 1 year

Was given an instant pot rice cooker, and the container recently got holes in it. Want a good one, and these seem likely. Note: I eat a *LOT* of rice, as in “nearly every day, and often multiple times a day.”

I just bought the same model of Zōjirushi, so this review is promising, since I plan to keep this rice cooker long term. Have you needed to get the clock battery replaced yet?
@tenore83 ай бұрын
They last 5-7 years. Then they die and there's no replacing the battery.
