WATCH THIS before updating your GoPro firmware

GoPro regularly releases new firmware updates for its cameras, but sometimes they cause a problem. THIS, the manual upgrade method, is the BEST way to update your camera's software - better than using the Quik app on your phone!
In this video, I'll walk you through manually updating the Hero 12's software and give some tips for downgrading your firmware, should you need to.

Man you made that simple. I still have not upgraded my hero 10 or 11 since I’ve bought it afraid it will mess up the connection for me being able to use my external dongle because I do not use a media mod for my external mic and battery packed that I wear on my helmet. Thanks for making this clear and easy and now I know it’s something I can do. Hopefully it doesn’t mess up my dongle connection if it does I’ll be back for you. I’m so joking, man. 😂😂😂

I hope so too - I don't want viewers coming after me :D But you'll be fine - just jot down which firmware version you're using now, and go find it before you do the update. Then, if it screws up, you can downgrade the firmware anyway :D

Well, only if you're having an issue... otherwise it might not be worth it. Look at the firmware updates and see if there's something improved :D
