Most likely because it’s hollow in the inside. Put some foam and it will be better. The DK61 Pro is way better for around the same price.

@@RMNZNT you can upgrade a Gk61 pretty nicely, if you get gateron yelllows, some lube, krytox, bandaids, foam. Man you can pimp that keyboard put and it'll sound nice. For just over $100 you can have a sexy ass keyboard.

I use it and the red switches are amazing for the price there was no point trying to criticise it since it’s cheap and u can get blue black brown and red switches u cld of got yellow at some point but they stopped selling them

I got a dk61, i lubed it and fixed the stabs. It sounds and feels great, not all keyboards are gonna come pre lubed and fixed stabs.

Ik allready fixxed mine, the whole point of this Series though is to review budget Keyboards straight out of the BOX since most kids won´t spend 25-30$ Extra to fixx them

I have of that's bluetooth, it came with prelubed stabilizers with little to no rattle. The switches were gateron blacks and sounded fine. I lubed them and now they're amazing. It's great for starter enthusiasts because hot swappable and only $60-70, so it's a no brainer if you're wanting to try out different switches or learn how to lube switches.

I bought it with gateron optical reds and I think mine sound fine stock. I put some cotton balls in the hollow base so that it would be more deep, and I put cotton inside the stabs to give it a less rattly and more deep sound. It took me about 30 minutes and it is really easy. For 50-60 dollars I think it is one of the best budget 60% keyboard

i have a dk63, it’s the same but with arrow keys (brown switches) and there’s no rattle, a little bit of ping in the spacebar but other than that it’s perfect

if the keyboard is hotswapable, you can lube the switches and stabilizers, and remove the pcb and plate to foam the case and the plate, the process of lubing may take quite some time but it is well worth it and lubing and foaming your keyboard takes no less than 10-15 dollars

You should probably do a Holee mod on The stablilizers and Im gonna guess and say that those switches are some pre-lubed Cherry MX ones, change them for something like Holy Pandas and lube them with Krytox 205g0

I had one and had 0 issues until I downloaded the software then 5 of the keys on the top row stopped registering and no matter what I did they stayed that way, it's great apart from that.

Got them on my Sk61s and the problem weren´t the Switches its the Quality of the Keyboard.. I put some foam in it and now it sounds better!

I know that I am late but my dk61 died because I installed the wrong software for it. Alot of people seemed to have that problem. I installed the dk63 software instead of the dk61.

So i have this fun story: So currently im gonna buy a new pc setup and wanted a 60% keyboard. So, i went to a hardware store and saw a 60% keyboard for 25€ (abt 30$) and it had red switches so i decided to pick it up. In conclusion: i've had it for like 3 months and it's really fucking good. I only buy these Low budget keyboards since actually the market for Low Budget gamers is WAYYYY Bigger then Keyboard enthusiasts :D therefore Im reviewing these Keyboards straight out of the box.. personally I use the Apex Pro Tkl so it doesn´t really bother me that these Keyboards could be better

Damn that sounds so bad.... I have an RK61 and I’ve put pudding caps on and rubber for WASD 1-5 and it doesn’t sound this bad. The spacebar is really loud though. I haven’t modified anything either as I don’t know how to do that stuff, I’m sure I could find a tutorial for stabilizing and lubing but I’m lazy and also don’t have any keyboard lube

It should be a problem with the keycaps/switches/case fix the case problem by putting a thin sheet of foam under the pcb, also the keycaps seem to be hollow, replace them with pbt keycaps

This was my first keyboard started at $50 now they’re a bit more pricey and honestly if you’re reading this comment and thinking about getting this it’s more worth to just get a gk61 that is $79.99 if you get yellow opticals, I 100% recommend it, way more worth this keyboard, don’t get me wrong it’s a good keyboard but a dk61 is around $61.99 now and might as well just get something way better for only $18 more trust me...

It’s only hotswap to other gateron opticals so don’t cry if your holy pandas don’t fit in it and if you try to mod it and lube but it still sounds bad that’s just because of the casing and how cheap it is.

Who said something about holy pands? Im simply reviewing these budget boards since the market for these is really big.. Im not changing anything since all these kids won´t have the extra money to buy lube, stabilizers. And again most people who buy these actually just care for the speed just like me.. its called Gen-Z. Personally I use my Apex Pro tkl since most competitive gamers rather have a faster keyboard then better sounding, but this sound is sooo bad since the case is hollow
