If I pay 50$ I want accurate information. Everything you showed was a joke so thank you for sharing and I hope people will google it and see your video before buying it. The Louis Vuitton Art, Fashion and Architecture book that is sold on the LV site is actually a really good reference for all the designer collaborations over the years and the pictures are amazing. I would recommend this book before buying one that is not from Louis Vuitton directly. It is pricey at $150 but it comes in a gorgeous lucite case and is absolutely beautiful to own. TFS!

Another wonderful video, thank you.. It is a bit concerning that someone would publish a book with some very obvious mistakes. You gave it a lot more credit than it is worth. A lot of people confuse the Triana with the Brera, however a little research could have easily picked up on the distinction between both bags. A lot of the content I could have picked up doing a bit of searching on the internet and combing through preloved websites. Websites like Spotted Fashion provide a lot of the LV bag history and resources for free!!. Not worth the paper it is written on. If I were LVMH I would consider suing.

From a legal perspective, is it problematic for the author to include images sourced from individuals on FB in her book? I believe that you own the copyright to photos that you take, unless someone pays you to take the image. I'm curious as to whether the author received permission to reprint the images.

You’re correct - she should have obtained permission from the owners of the photographs before the photos were published Another commenter confirmed they did not sign a release and had no idea their photos were being used for this purpose. As copyright owners, they have several actions they can take including seeking damages 💰

Great Review. I find my 30+ year old "Le Catalgues" the most helpful whenever I have questions about prior vintage items. I wish they still produced them. Oh my goodness that book looks soo elementary, like a school project. Would you say that current LV employees are able to authenticate? Would there ever be an instance where they could accidentally sell a bag from the store that is fake from a previous return?

I can’t speak for every employee but in my experience newer employees are often not even familiar with older styles, let alone able to authenticate them. However it would be extremely unlikely that a fake bag could be “returned” to a boutique bc the return process is fairly rigorous. Great review! Thanks for your honest opinion and accurate updates. I actually sent one of my date codes (I can clearly see it on one of the pages you flipped through) in but it was never mentioned what it would be used for - i.e. she never asked me for permission for it to be used in a book. I thought she just wanted it for reference/to check something so I'm a bit iffy about this now. The typos and inconsistencies would drive me insane. I noticed in the timeline Multicolor was split into 2 words as well.

Hi! I came across your channel today, when I'm searching for guide on how to purchase first LV on store. I don't own any LV or any high end designers' bag atm. But I think it would be very nice if you can also film a guide on how not to look so awkward on store for beginners. Most of the reviews I found, SAs were apparently sassy and not helpful for those who don't know anything yet. And they said, if you walk in wearing a non designer bag, they will not entertain you. I hope you will consider my suggestion, because it would be very significant coming from SA who have a lot of experience. ❤️ I also believe that, there's always a first experience for those who work hard and want to have something really special . And it would be very nice if that first is awesome. Thank you!

That was a great review. I'm a used bag seller in Japan and can't agree more with your comments about authentication services. I've had some hilarious comments about vintage Burberry from these services calling bags horrific fakes because they don't have a code and the logo is unusual. Clearly 0 knowledge of the brand. They should return people's money and say I don't know.

Thank you for your insight! Many people who claim to be experts are quick to erroneously determine a bag is "fake" simply because they're not familiar with vintage items. Luckily Japan has very stringent requirements for reselling luxury bags! Thanks so much for watching 🤗

I too worked for Louis Vuitton while in college in the early 2000s and I found this book to be interesting to say the least! The authentication process is very interesting and people need to understand that even not all employees can decipher some authentic items from counterfeit ones. I’ve had co-workers that literally told customers that their item wasn’t authentic and unfortunately that wasn’t true and let’s just say that opened up another can of paint to say the least...not every employee is an “expert” especially in the current times. What demographic area did you or do you currently work in? I worked on the East Coast but I’m in contact with many ex colleagues on the west coast specifically CA. I’d love to swap stories lol...can’t wait to see more of your videos!!

The papillon was the first Louis Vuitton I’ve ever seen and wanted. I still want it today in the monogram print. The first one I’ve ever bought was a Speedy 25 which I’ve had for almost 20 years. I treated the bag so terribly 😩 now I want to buy a new one.
