If i were you i would've got the Daiwa Rebellion for $150 from Japan. It's blank, guide and finish is top tier and light as a feather. It beats steez, zillion,Blazen or Days which are knocks off of the Rebellion. Its even better than my exprides or Zodias. I don't use my other rods anymore.
@RyanSmith-fb8rf4 ай бұрын
The Rebellion rods are beautiful I have the 7’4H glass that I actually throw light glide baits on. The guides are awesome can’t believe they discontinued them. Not Expride level though

The first poison adrena had the mono handle. I love my Phenix M1 for the handle.
@RyanSmith-fb8rf4 ай бұрын
Great rods I have the M1 and a few Feathers and they are awesome. The 7’7mh feather is the best trap rod I’ve ever used. It’s more like a medium mod fast and I run braid to flourocarbon and it rips traps out of grass perfectly and it’s parabolic enough that you don’t lose fish once hooked
@tims_always_fishing71174 ай бұрын
@@RyanSmith-fb8rf I have the 7'2 mh casting and 7'2 m spinning, phenomenal rods, reel seats need improvement on casting tho. Haven't put in any work on the spinning yet.

That looks like a great combo. Have to see some after reviews on them. I’m rocking a 7’ M glass composite Expride with a Chronarch Mgl HG. No issues except when I snag a branch during a cast🙁

I bought 3 of them when they came out. I got the 7'5" bottom contact and it's a lot softer than I expected for a fast action but it's growing on me. Super sensitive. I got the the 7'9" Heavy swimbaits and the 7'2" medium fast moving bait rod. It has what they call a megatop tip. Have no idea what that is

Hey man, I was also looking at that 7’5 bottom contact rod, it says the lure rating are from 1/4-1 1/2. Have you tried throwing lures light as 1/4? Trying to see how versatile it really is

Personal opinion, but i never throw spinnerbaits on my chatterbait rod. The wire has so much flex already. I throw a 7'1 heavy/fast ark reinforcer. I'm interested in the 7'6ml spinning zillion though. Need a new hair jig rod.

the zillion are very nice rods !! I bought the 7 ft med. fast action . Very sensitive but the tip section is a little flimsy for me. I own 5 xpride rods and I think overall the xpride is a better rod and $30 cheaper. Now as far as reels go Daiwa for sure as I prefer the daiwa reels over the shimano

That's a tough one! I have the Zillion rigged up for Texas Rigs, which I'll be tossing a lot here soon, so as soon as I have more time with it, I'll let you know! The X Series is definitely the best bass rod that Okuma has ever put out, and I don't believe you can go wrong with either. I will say the Okuma feels lighter in hand.
