Just picked up a Cioks DC7/DC8 bundle with EBS high performance patch cables. Huge difference in what I was using before.

I’m looking forward to watching this. As an audiophile, I know how important power supply is in creating a sound stage image. There are reasons toroidal transformers are so big in high end audio products. Grounding plays an important roll in more than just safety and ground loop avoidance.

The Cioks SOL is a great option for smaller pedal boards. I have one on my Pedaltrain Nano+ and it fits great when you add the Cioks mounting bracket for it.

I use a true tone cs-12 and have a cs6. If I need to use both, vertex effects make a power module that I could use shorted IEC cables out of the supplies plug them into the power module then use one IEC cable to power the entire board.

Great video. I am a loyal Cioks user after having used two other well known brands. The RCA plugs are slightly inconvenient, but I solder my own custom length cables using Switchcraft 3502 and 3502A connectors.

What do you use for the pedal-end connections of your custom cables? And what do you use for cabling? I'm also loyal to Cioks but I just use their cables. I'd be interested in going custom though. Your recommendations on RCA connectors are great thanks for sharing.

@@MattyRocco Mihey 2.1mm right angle (pedal side) cables on Amazon. I cut off the straight barrel connector, leaving me around 20" usable. Remember, Cioks is reverse polarity, so the red wire is soldered to the shield on the RCA plug side and the black is soldered to the tip on the RCA.

@@adminag1 The Boss standard coaxial connectors are negative tip, so the color coding sounds correct.

Cioks is the best hands down. I’m a Sales Engineer at SW, I’ve tried all the top-tier, and Cioks is the best. The little crux extender is great too, can power a QC, and other power hungry pedals, like HX Effects, etc.

You should really check out the EBS Runsten, crazy powersupply with 10x 900mah outs. All their cables are amazing too, the patch cables look a bit similar to Rock Board’s version but in my opinion the EBS ones feel more premium and last longer. They are also actually soldered! The power cables are really good too, really low profile compared to anything else I have seen. (They also make the cables to power the stomp and a really good TRS to dual TS split cable)

Did my research and came to the conclusion that the gigrig gen x 14 is the best currently available. Previously I've had the cioks dc7 which was also very good. However the deal-breaker for me was how the gigrig fixed the DC cables in. So much better than any other system on the market. Easy to have perfect length cables, small, beat and the highest quality. Pretty expensive though but understandable I guess

I just returned my lekato because of that exact same reason. Tonex one cannot run properly off it.

cioks is the best. all the outlets are 660v which is so great because you basically never have to worry about high current pedals needing more than 1 slot.

I feel like Lekato could have done a better design job and have the inputs under the board instead of having all the cables protruding forward.

Yes, the first thing I thought after seeing that pedalboard was "someone will step on all the power cable connectors and break them."

Nervously waving around the merchandise is EXTREMELY annoying. Put it on the desk and use a dedicated camera to show it. That way it is in focus and not vomit-inducing to watch.

An extended middle finger to you for ignoring the metric system nearly all the world uses. No, the USA isn't the world, its population is only 4% of the actual world.

Seems a bit much brother. Just saying, might want to adjust your approach. Might be a more effective way to get the point across that you just really love the metric system.
