Excellent 👌 I guess all you could of added Kevin is another benefit of ISTA,is as it’s the program developed for BMW’s technicians to literally follow by the book to diagnose service and repair so all the torque settings are there for everything also,which is handy since BMW took down their ‘Tis’ website for public access. What this man doesn’t know about the B58 at present isn’t worth knowing. Keep your great content coming mate, All the best from over the pond, 🧤

hey love the content hopefully you can reply i found a 2017 for a fair deal for around 88k miles will i be able to roll into mods after i service what needs to be replaced water pump valve cover gasket vanos etc or would i have to rebuild the entire engine before pushing any mods or should be good to just forge it once it blows in between this and a m235i but am to set on the b58 platform

What would you say the limits of the stock head are? Been looking at rods and pistons, but damn that supertech valve/spring kit is expensive.

Usually larger turbos that support 800+ benefit from building the head so that spool isn't so late. I only know of a handful of people that did it.

Do you recommend buying an M340i? I am thinking of picking up a used 2020 one but I am nervous for the reliability even though I heard the b58 m340is are very reliable. Also is there a milage you wouldnt go pass when looking to buy a used m340i for example dont purchase one with over 50k miles? Would you recommended buying one?

I would recommend buying one. As long as all maintenance is up to date mileage isn't a huge issue. Just make sure it isn't consuming oil

I have a 2018 440i and have noticed that the main coolant reservoir is down to the low level every month or so after I’ve filled it to the max line. The car has a new intercooler heat exchanger and radiator and I’ve replaced both coolant caps as well. I don’t notice any coolant below the car after it has been park nor any dried coolant residue in the engine compartment from a leaking line/water pump etc. Any ideas?

@@wingedhussar5528 Yea I replaced both reservoir caps with OEM BMW caps but I still notice a slightly lower coolant level every other month or so. I tried to pressure test it yesterday but the kit I got didn’t have the right adapter and was leaking pressure from the adapter itself.

@@kern417 I watched your video for the pcv replacement I did it to my 2016 340i n it’s still smoking really bad before I changed it it was bad at all only some times I will get white smoke and I won’t see nothing for weeks I changed it completely the pcv and now the car has check engine light and throw lots of shit smoke do you know what it could be car is driving me crazy

If you're keeping it stock, the TU engine makes more power out of the box. Hard to complain with that. But also the cars are more expensive to buy.
