It really is a great camera quad and offer's a lot for the money. The flight is awesome fast altitude gain and especially very fast descending ability, it's unlike anything else I've flown. Biggest quirk is the gimbal horizon, sometimes you have to fiddle with the adjustments but generally not a huge problem or like it happens every time you fly it. If so you need to calibrate, unlock extra calibration features and Bob's your auntie.

From what I read and hear about it, it is perfect for how I will be using it. Still waiting for it to arrive today. Telling a beginner to "RTH higher than the tallest obstacles in the area" is like saying "in the water, don't swim where it's too deep. How should one know just how tall they are? Method. Fly drone next to what looks to be the tallest structure, rise to even with the top. Add 10-25 feet, depending how much you trust your judgment.

All they have to do is look around their surroundings and justify how many feet the trees or buildings are. I always set above that in feet or meters in Rth.🤙 Thanks for watching

@@FlyZoneFpv That was what I was offering a method to get measurements for.What if someone is a) a bad judge of spacial distances, or b) has poor depth perception, or c) sucks at math "I set it for 15 meters!" - great, except the tree, or light pole or water tower was 16.6 meters. My suggestion was for those who don't trust their judgment. Or, they could just fly at 399.99 feet. Always. 😆🤣😂

Own a fimi x8 se 2020. I am not super happy with the purchase thou I am still content with it and don't regret it. My issues were quality control. One of the antenna's, the right one, on the remote is "loose" its not a nice tight fit like the other one, it will fall down if you tilt the controller to the left and cannot put a signal booster on it because it just wobbles all over the place. Also I believe the stock blades that come with them are not of the best quality. Mine are not cut percisely, if i look at the blades theres little bits of plastic coming off the blades at certain points and I think after about 30-40 hours of flight time the blades are possibly failing as its stability has gone down the gutters the last 3 or 4 flights, did all updates calibrations and everything and I don't fly it very far because I don't trust it. Ordering new blades now and hoping it will fix the issue. Also range wasn't the greatest for me. but Range is a tricky subject depending where you live and other conditions its hard to tell. I lost signal once and it started to come home at around 1.4km, this only happened once at this short a distance but usually around the 2km mark It gets sketchy not sure if this is due to my loose antenna or not. But put the bad aside I still love the drone and have around 40 hours flight time on it atm. Just wish I could figure out the horrible stability now, it use to fly decent in light winds now its all over the place up and down its a mess.

Now for the drone not everyone is having issues with the FIMI it’s a few that were a bad batch and the stability problem you can fix that with the 6 sided drone calibration . You misunderstood. I said whatever your frame rate is you should double it in shutter speed. So if 24fps - shutter should be 1/48 to 1/50 .for proper motion blur

You can use Lumafusion, Final Cut pro or if you want something basic . Then go with iMovie👍

Hi guys I've noticed when I change settings for the video to 4k, high quality etc, and go back in to settings again, it hasn't saved the video quality as high. Is there a way you can save the changes you make, or do you need to adjust them every time?

You can change settings in camera but you have to stop recording before you can go back and change things around

I have a question about my FIMI X8 SE 2022...I'm using a 64mb scandisk memory card and it is only recording 5 minute clips at a time is there any settings in the app that I can change to record the whole flight? Or am I using the wrong memory card?

No that’s how it is . You have to put them all together when editing in whatever order you want . I recommend using a Sandisk U3 or higher with 100mbps speed

I would buy the Fimi x8 Se 2020. But if you spend an extra $100 or so you can get the Dji mini 2. That's an amazing beginners drone also . But the features on the Fimi is more. 👍🏼

I have the fimi x8 se 2020 Drone and on the app I am having barometer error. I shut it off and turned it back on and still no change. My Drone is updated to and still can't seem to get this issue fixed. I also tried to do the gimbal and it gets stuck at 45%. I don't know what's going on. Hope Michael u have an answer to this issue. I am getting totally frustrated with this. I can't even start the motors. Is it because of this barometer error is why? I so hope someone can help me fix this issue.

Sure buddy . Thanks for being a subscriber and I’ll be more than happy to help you out. Ok uninstall the app 1st . Then reinstall it. Then what you should do is try to calibrate everything again . The drone , the Rc, the Gimbal . Then do a compass calibration. If that doesn’t work then you must do a six sided Calibration on the drone . Hope this helps if it does let me know and if it doesn’t then also let me know . I will go to my source at FIMI one our there programmers and tell him . And I will give you another solution. You shouldn’t have to use Wi-Fi . It’s not a Wi-Fi Drone it uses satellites 🛰️

Now remember it’s not a DJI drone . It doesn’t have the penetration that DJI has . You can’t go too far with that fimi . You will lose signal. How far are you flying before it disconnects

It is not the distance because it can happen very close and sometimes once per battery and sometimes disconnect few times per battery. Tomorow I will find better cable and then we'll see😉

I did the reset drone parameter yesterday after I flew thinking it would fix the horizon tilt. When I flew this morning my drone was drifting like crazy. Before the next flight I did the compass calibration and the rc calibrationg and flew good and the tilt that I've been having got better. Here's the video with the major drifting. That’s too bad. Ok here’s what you do . Calibrate the gimbal then do a imu check. After that calibrate the drone then do a compass calibration. Must do all of them . Leave it on for 60 seconds so the motor gimbals can recognize the adjustments. You should be fine. 👊🏻
