Wow this is absolutely horrific!! I'm so sorry you went through that! For those who want to avoid things like this: It's so helpful to have someone with you when you are in the hospital. They can get up to find staff, raise hell, and advocate for you. Everyone needs to find their inner Karen and ask to speak to the higher ups. If that doesn't work, use your hospital phone to call the hospital and tell them what is going on. Ask for a social worker or patient advocate. Also, in most states, it is legal to record audio without telling anyone, as long as the device is on your person (in a pocket or on your lap or hand is fine)... and casually say something like "I've already called my attorney". I've dealt with some hellish situations with hospitals myself... but not this bad 💔 I'm so glad you're ok now!

My uncle had one. He’s never been the same since. On permanent disability. Cannot stand or sit for extended durations. It warms my heart that the guy is still a sweetheart even though he’s in pain, frequently. I pray that the good Lord Jesus Christ heals you Coach and that your pain is reduced or eliminated. Best regards.

I had a very similar experience with some of the staff when I have my spinal fusion, my back had to be broken in a few places because it had self fused , you are spot on Adam the pain is very bad and the last thing you need is a staff member that is a pig to you ,telling your story has so much in common with mine, best of luck Adam prayers to all

I don’t recommend university of Pennsylvania either!!! I deal with pain everyday! I’m 58 unable to work anymore. Whole life is basically gone, I hope you’re doing okay, not dealing with too much pain. Thank you for this video,

March 2024 had cervical spinal fusion, severe herniated disks. Etc….. only about 10 percent better if that, surgery was brutal afterwards very painful. Had surgery at university of Pennsylvania too Dr. Welch did mine, he is a good surgeon. Post surgical pain was bad for me and I’m on oxycodone anyway daily!!! I’m getting an epidural next week so tired of lumbar pain L 4 L5 s1 . I’m not going g to get lumbar surgery now that you’re saying this! I agree nursing staff at penn are horrible! Nurse took my bottle of oxycodone put it in the pharmacy he said, so I don’t double dip! He was a total moron! Not nice or pleasant, well Dr Welch tried sending my home the day of surgery! How do you like that bs! I only spent one night there! So yes the university of Pennsylvania isn’t that great! The parking sucks!!! You really weren’t treating right! That’s awful you had no pain pills! How fkn awful!!!!! I have my own wheelchair ♿️ thank god I had one!!! They don’t care!!!! Er especially sucks!!!

@Healing2gether: That was terrible. I had L4 and L5 fusion and had to learn to walk again, it took 3 days, I was there 1 week. MRI this Monday everything below is bone on bone. I can only walk with a cane 25 ft and have to sit down the pain is so bad. I'm scared to death to have more surgery. I'm hearing nightmares about fusions below c1, permanent damage to nerves, bladder or bowels along with no pain relief.

Adam, Were you still taking kratom before your surgery? I need knee surgery and I'm afraid of going through withdrawals during my hospital stay. How did you cope and get through this?
