Thanks for sharing Viki. It is good see that people are sharing videos regarding cycling in Hungary. Since I started to live here I am thinking about make a video about Budapest - Szentendere bicycle trip ;)

In my opinion I think it should remain car free for now as long as its not fully safe for everyone till renovation is fully completed to avoid over crowding.

I think the new one bridge it's smaller than the old one. But I hope in march - when I'm coming back to this wonderful city, those pesky construction have been removed.

I'm also looking forward to when it's fully open, especially the footpaths so I can walk across.

when will people be able to walk across the bridge? We hope to visit the first weekend in August, will it be open to pedestrians by then?

I think they’ve only said ‘early autumn’, so I don’t think the exact date is confirmed.

They have recently started installing the handrails along the footpath, but I think it’s only going to be open for pedestrians in the autumn. You can take a bus, taxi or cycle across it until then though!

I think it should remain car free. Or at least be one way for cars with a two way bike lane.
