Another common problem I find on most used 350z/G35’s is that the bushings are usually shot, especially trans. and diff. Check that radiator, coolant quality, power steering lines, oil/trans cooler lines, and lastly your wheel hub assembly.. just speaking from past experiences, I’m on Z #4 it’s my favorite car and all of them were sold for huge profit 🤌🏼

@@Cookie-yp5qg for the money you'd spend on a HR swap you could build your DE nicely. Pistons, rods, Juke head bolts, HR head gaskets and maybe cams would give you a nice mild build that could hold 6-700whp reliability and spin to 7500. Btw I'm no DE expert, I've got a built HR w/ 3.7 bottom end. Either motor will make power if built. Ultimately rods are are the way weak link on all of them

I had an 03 track. Miss that thing! I did some aesthetics..hood, tail lights, wheels. I got springs to lower it a tad and got a better front sway bar. That seemed to really help with the handling. I went with standard 8 in the front and 9.5 tires in the back. The fun came in when I installed a short shift kit from B&M, replaced pulleys with light weight aluminum ones, a true dual exhaust with cat delete pipe. Finally a tune. I was able to leave the annivery edition, with the highrev, in the dust. I’ll get one again and move up to turbos

Some good info, though every tuner I have talked to here in LA will tell you if you plan on adding power to a 350z, starting with the DE motor is a recipe for disaster. The HR however is fantastic as a start. Also unfortunate that so many of the 350s in this video were stanced out and didn't look track ready while many of the options mentioned referred to track builds. There are a lot of cool track versions but would have been cool to see more variance in builds in the video.

if history has taught us anything is NEVER modify your car if you ever want it to be worth anything! highly modified Zs sell for a lot cheaper than unmodified ones and these cars will be rare to find unmodified

What is the true driving experience of a 350? I always wonder since I’ve never driven one

Imagine something like a Japanese muscle car. Enough power down low but a bit heavy in corners
@wargasm2 жыл бұрын
@@Mark_v92 The "heavyness" in the corners can be fixed by a couple suspension mods. Ive owned both a 370, and 350. Love them both! Highly recommend the platform if you are looking for something to do trackdays/autocross. Fantastic for drifting. They are more expensive now though, and to make anything over 300(DE) and 350(HR/VHR) hp, youll need nitrous or forced induction.
@LibertyGunsBeerTrump2 жыл бұрын
@@wargasm i agree. Coming from a g35 owner, put some wide wheels on there and some good coilovers and youll have a car thats relatively quick AND can handle. A true gt car if you will

Driven both, subaru gc8 is better
@SicSemperBeats2 жыл бұрын
@@Mark_v92 honestly very true comparison. A little nose heavy, plenty of torque down low (more than literally all the competition when it released in 2003) and easy to break loose if you want.
