I had a hard time decluttering my office wardrobe when I retired. A friend suggested a place run by an organization that donated clothes for office interviews and also for proper office attire. It was a perfect fit for me and made me happy that someone was able to use my old clothing.

I cried while I got rid of some of those sentimental items, but it was so worth it afterwards. Having a clean organized space brought peace. One thing I had to rebuy though was a salad spinner🤦🏼😀🤣

It really can be hard letting some of that stuff go but how wonderful to have that peace afterwards!

I wish you would add one other mindset to this video. Twice, I had gotten so overwhelmed and frustrated, I was like it all has to go and I don't care if it's on the front lawn! The first time I did that lead me to 6 months later start going back into the buying to replace. I started just a few things and before I knew it , I was back into the buying mindset cause I had all this room and knew I could organize it all and 3 storage units later, I was in the same boat. This time I reached that moment and stopped myself. As you said, I really planned UT out, so I went slower and now I am decluttering MI awfully not feverishly!

@@SophisticatedOrganization I went a step further and had all my photos put on CDs. Then I have both those, the CDs, in physical form as well as putting them in both a cloud service as well as an external drive. Not that I'm just paranoid but many of those photos date back to the eighteen hundreds and have both physical photos or older types of family photos as well as a photo of their graves. The photos include members of my family in civil war uniforms from both sides.
