My thoughts are that if one is resonably sure of getting into a better college by taking the drop, it would be alright. However of you can save an year by getting in a not so bad college its worth taking it and saving the year. As far as job and placements go, people from any decent college including IIT will on an everage get a similiar growth as the growth depends on their own caliber than the college they are from. I have seen many IIT people getting similar salaries after 15 years as people who did it from private colleges(ofcourse nice ones).

Thank you so much for the video ….. can you please give your suggestion on partial drop like joining a collage with 75% attendance and still studying for bitsat for next year becoz I don’t think I can risk full drop year ….like is it worth it? Do you have students at bits who have taken partial drop?

I see myself in you…i was in the same situation in 2022..i literally messed up all my entrance exams ….i was in the same situo …either take partial drop or take a college..thats it….even my parents warned me to not to do such stunts of stidying for entrance exams parallely with ur college stuff…but still i used to give 3-4 hrs for for jee …like for 4 days in week….because of my hectic travel scedule for college …i couldnt more than that…but many people dont really know the reality of colleges….there subjects arent that easy…i just realised that…i literally fucked up my 1st semester as well….that was really a terrible moment for me…then at that moment i realised that…proceeding with jee will not workout anymore…so i gave up the idea..and started focussing on my college stuffs…but in my case due to 91 percentile in my mains 2022…i got a good college…so i was kinda happy…..so my opinion is that ..if u are getting good college then only think of taking partial drop…bcz even if anything goes wrong u have a backup…..and one more thing….managing 75 %attendance is not at all a easy task..untill u live in hostel or near to ur college…..hope it helped u….the same case was with my close frnd as well…..i just wanted u present the end result of this idea in front of u …becz even i was on the same page in 2022…well its not all ..also depends upon ur capability…hope u take a wise decision…all the best
