Good evening everybody! Thank you for dropping in on my latest video, which once again features 'Monique', my turbocharged Mk1 Mazda MX-5. Seeing as it's been almost a year since M-Tech Automotive carried out the turbo conversion, it seemed sense to talk about my experience for the first year as well as offer my own advice for anyone looking to turbocharge their own MX-5. If you have any questions about anything I didn't cover in the video or something you would like me to elaborate more on, let me know in the comments section.

Tbh Aaron even for track use the Wilwoods are an unnecessary expense, especially given the power cars come out of Mtec running. Big brakes from a mk2.5 sport mated with hawk DTC pads are more than enough. I've run them at 250whp at numerous tracks with great results..You may be heavier on the middle pedal of course!

I did spend a long time pondering whether or not to go down the MK2.5 route, but I didn't want to commit my money that setup only to find it still wasn't sufficient and then have pay out AGAIN for the big brake kit, so I thought I'd just cut out the middle man and go straight for the BBK.

Really insightful and entertaining video im the owner of a naturally aspirated nc which i adore. Im still a bit sceptical about turbocharging but ' monique' is such a stunning looking car that the idea of a highly turned na eunos /n.a is starting to appeal-----1.6 with bike throttle bodies---------😊.

@@JohnButler-iq8rl Blimey, that's quite a compliment considering how much MX-5 content there is out there! Well, you'll be pleased to know there is plenty more content coming with Monique. There will be a trackday video coming soon. I'm filming a coolant reroute (spoiler alert, it's a crap, tedious job), I've also filmed a noise diagnosis video and there will be a tyre rack fitting as well. Oh, I might be getting an anti-roll bar kit, but not sure on that at the moment.

Honestly its worth it. My only issue with our mx5 was the lack of power. Its a great car. Well done
