Please for the love of God, post this entire concert. I friggin love Agents of Oblivion. Dax found his voice in this band. And perfected it in Deadboy and the Elephantmen

Dax's vocals were grittier live in Agents. Left me with the impression he was tapering down from Acid Bath, yet trying not to alienate metal fans. It's been over two decades and Dax still plays barre chords like he got guitar lessons from Spok. I wonder if Dax can actually play guitar really well if not singing. I mean he has been at it decades. I could say some of the effects and such I have seen Dax use but I will leave that for Dax. It's actually kind of trippy that he can play something like Strange Television forming barre chords almost like a Vulcan neck pinch. I do agree this stuff needs to be out there. Newer fans regard Agents as some blip that was non-existant and it's because there isn't a lot out there recorded live that is good quality and rotten suppresses the album. Acid Bath fans that played guitar loved Agents because that was Dax and Mike getting back up after Audie died and we weren't sure they would. Although I can think of a few Acid Bath fans I know who hated it. I think it comes down to whether you hear Acid Bath as simply brilliant metal, or actually understood what was being said metaphorically. The way I hear Dr Seus Is Dead, is Justice is Dead. The way Agents has been presented over the years, it seems under rated. People are comparing better newer recordings with older crap recordings of Agents and assuming Agents was not every bit as awesome live. I can easily say Agents live was bitchin. That probably didn't help Mike Sanchez. Back then the talk was Mike and Dax had a falling out over money (without being specific) and Mike was supposedly doing some band called The Green, although I never saw any of it, so it's cool he is working with Osi and the Jupiter now. To me personally Agents is a transitional period, overcoming hardship in life, for one good moment, only to have the US decend into two decades of unbridled war. Deadboy and beyond can be summed up to just moaning about this hell. Dax wouldn't need to sing let me be your cigarette if you weren't living in hell. Thanks for doing this stuff to the AB archive. It helps to remember. No matter where I go in the world, this music is home.

@DR-xr8gv I couldn't have said it better myself. Agents is some outer space type shit and I think the album is one of the best of all time.

Was thinking the same thing. Opened for these dudes 3-4 times , they stayed at my house once when they played at my family's bar. Never say him play anything but a hollow body

another thing i noticed back in the day is that Dax played kinda sideways with the headstock pointing at the drummer like so nobody could see what he was playing on the git. maybe when he first started playign shows w.guitar. I dunno.

Where is the full version of this? This is to my knowledge the only one where Dax sang the original Phantom Green where he accented the high note on the second line “Out of frame” (like the demo, which I always liked that small difference best).

That's the first live recording of Agents I saw that even remotely sounded like Agents actually did live. I wasn't at this show I was at the Howlin Wolf Agents show, but this makes me wonder if there is actually a decent recording of House of the Rising Sun because they played that at Zeppelin's too... And that's lost as far as an actual quality recording and what they did with that was hmm special. Growing up I thought no one could touch the Animals doing that one, and then I saw Mike and Dax do it. That and T Daks and his White Plastic Soul, When Bones Turn To Dust. The latter should have been on a record, but guess it fell between Agents and didn't fit with If this is Hell Then I'm Lucky.
