His speaking voice: Y E S. He could recite the alphabet & you couldn't help but melt. 😍🤤🫠 I have a hard time listening to "Sometimes It Snows In April," too, partly for those same reasons. Breaks my heart every time. Why'd he even have to write it? 😢💔 This acoustic set is 1 of my very favorite things in all of the Prince videos out there. That emotional moment at the end of "Little Red Corvette" when he gets hit with all that Love from the audience is so precious. I always smile when he says "1 more time," over and over again. Dance teachers are notorious for telling our classes to do the choreography "1 more time," at least 10 times. 😅 This entire concert is truly a gem & I'm glad you got to watch the whole thing! 1 of God's blessings is to be able to do something we Love as a job. Prince clearly completely genuinely LOVED making, performing, & breathing music, & he made the world a better place in the process. ☔ The Superbowl is legendary; But my favorite performances of Purple Rain are Milan in 2010 & Rave Un2 The Year 2000 at Paisley Park. Montreux 2009 is a very close 3rd. All of them are astounding. 💜

The Musicology tour was such a good time. I remember when I went to see him, it had been like 10 years since I’d last seen him live and the man was just as electric as he ever was. He was the greatest ever. ❤

My favorite PR performance is the 1985 American Awards Show performance. He was so good that night and so full of emotion. It was REAL. I remember being in my knees in from of the TV in tears watching this performance. lol

I’m not a huge fan of the song Purple Rain, but I absolutely loved the performance from Montreux in 2013 when he talks about Claude (the man who created the Montreux Jazz Festival), and his falsetto is heartbreaking. 😭😭

Oh, and the purple symbol guitar is named “Habibi.” It means “my love” in Arabic. 💜
