This video was GOLDEN! Much needed and thought provoking. Prior to becoming a BCBA, I said that I wanted to open my own business. Now that I am a BCBA, I still think about it but have no idea how or where to start. This is very helpful. What I need to know now, is how to get this insurance information. I’m going to research where/how to obtain that insurance info. Thanks for watching! Question 1: Word of mouth and who you know is always a great way to get your foot in the door for school and government contracts. You can also reach out and ask if you can do a free ABA training so that they know what you do and what you offer. Then schedule a meeting to identify if that organization has a need for an independent BCBA contractor for professional development training or ABA therapy. Question 2: you can find a credentialing company and get credentials with all private insurances (e.g., Blue cross blue shield, Aetna, Cigna, Humana etc.,) Kiah also helps businesses get credentialed with private insurance and Medicaid. I am about to become a BCBA the closes AbA services to me are an hour and 30 minutes away! I am wanting to start a business for ABA in a clinic setting in my hometown to help out the Autism community for children in my area there is a huge need! I have worked in the ABA field as an RBT for four years and I am about to finally get my BCBA certification soon if the good lord is willing! Can you give me a run down of everything to get a company going and grants that I could use and such? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Where do you find programming for session note documentation? Also, how do you provide yourself with cyber security when writing session notes via laptop while out in the field?

I always use my personal hotspot and not the open wifi. I also rent an office space where I can go to any of their offices in the Chicagoland area so I can have private HIPPA compliant meetings or do paperwork while out in the field.

I don’t necessarily agree because I’m not a physician and i own several medical spa clinics , home health and urgent cares , and telehealth companies each bringing in 7 figures each . Most owners of clinics and medical practices are not medical professionals.
