Bullish or bearish, AI stocks will still dominate 2024, even beyond. Why I prefer NVIDIA is that they are better placed to maintain long-term growth potential, and provide a platform for other AI companies. I know someone who has made more than 200% from NVIDIA. I'll also take these other recommendations you made.

It's coming lk tech who owns idra and builds all of teslas giga presses just releases the teaser for its 16,000 ton press. I think that is the one which is gonna cast the entire overframe of the compact in 1 massive shot. Ad the f&r castings and structural pack=most of a car in 4 large scale mass produced casted/pressed pieces. The patent showed something like this year's ago. Or it's going to do away with the front&rear castings and just shoot the whole underbelly with battery area in 1 shot? Rumors of this have circulated recently about casting the whole underbelly in 1 shot. Fun times indeed these next few year's for evs&cell tech. 😎

As a former car dealer, it’s all about service. If you sell an electric car, you have no more service revenue so they have a negative attitude. they are not making a good electric car at a reasonable price. They don’t know how to do it or and I don’t want to. They want to sell a nice car they want to see Tesla fail and they are not innovators. That’s absolutely right they’re good at sheet metal let’s move the sheet metal around and put somebody else’s tech inventions in the car, that’ll be fun to service because they’ll figure out how to to make it cheap, so it will break.😮

A model T was $850 in 1908 and gold was 20.67 an ounce or about 41 ounces of gold for one model T. At today's prices, a car priced like a model T would be $83,000 USD (assuming you time traveled to now with 41 ounces of gold for your car purchase).

It's not about what you can sell the car for it's what you're making per car. If they can sell at $25K per unit profitably they might have a shot. Even if that's the case you still need to have high enough demand to purchase the cars they think they will pump out to meet that price point. Demand for electrics is still low and the infrastructure to support them also remains sub optimal so I think Tesla although promising still has quite a ways to go.

I see how charging infrastructure for roadtrips and destinations needs to be expanded by a lot, but also remember that we have very low grid utilization at night, so if you can charge your daily driver at night in your house that is actually phenomenal use of already installed grid capacity that is going mostly unused, actually reducing electricity generation during low demand times is a major technical problem energy companies face, and local city driving is a major share of car usage in the states and other countries. Grid systems are designed to be able to provide peak power during the hottest day in the summer in a holiday weekend, but after that all that capacity remains mostly unused, furthermore EVs capacity to power your house and create a smart grid can make the situation even better, so the grid can be way more efficient and get better utilization

Ron Baron, founder of Baron Capital, has reiterated his bullish outlook on Tesla, calling it a technology company that cannot be matched by anyone else. Despite HSBC initiating coverage of Tesla with a price target of $146, Baron remains confident, pointing out that Ford loses $36,000 on every electric vehicle it makes, while Tesla is making around $8,000 in profit per car. Baron also said Tesla employees are the highest paid in the world and that unions have failed to organize the company. In addition, he believes that ultimately all cars will be electric, and that the reason for the current lack of demand is that electric cars are not attractive to dealers or car companies and are expensive. Baron also touched on Tesla's growth in China, stating that the company is on the way to producing 20 million cars per year, with China currently accounting for one million cars. He noted that a large percentage of what Tesla makes in China is exported to Europe, and that the more it builds in Europe, the more it saves on transportation and duty costs.
@JacksonScott-os7kj
@JacksonScott-os7kj 11 ай бұрын
They are absolutely not the highest paid lol, that is a straight lie. Workers make way more at ford and GM. Additionally, the lack of demand for electric cars is because they are insanely expensive. Coupled with Teslas poor quality control and ability to repair cars, people aren’t buying. Tesla is getting cooked in China by BYD, who is currently selling electric vehicles starting at 13k, and can swap batteries for you instead of charging at a low cost. BYD is also entering the European market and is partnering with VW, Audi, etc to standardize their battery swap network amongst other brands, excluding Tesla. Sounds like Baron is selling a lot of hype and copium.
@youngroosevelt38
@youngroosevelt38 11 ай бұрын
The reason for the current lack of demand is that the people that really wanted EVs have already gotten them or otw to getting them. EVs are also dependent on if you have the infrastructure to make them cheap, meaning owning or having access to a garage or driveway to charge at home is the best scenario. Most people in the world don't have garages or driveways, and public chargers can be more expensive then gas and tend to have a slew of technical problems from people not taking care with them.

I'm amazed at no one in that video...neither the host nor the guest.... or anyone here in the comment section...is addressing all of the downside of electric vehicles. Let's just go down the short list.. Cost of batteries. Charging time still longer than a fuel fill up at a gas station. Fires. Lack of grid capacity for charging. California already has rolling blackouts without any additional electric vehicles needing to be charged. Lack of generation capacity. Most electricity right now is being generated at coal-fired plants. Relying on China... not only for the rare Earth metals that make the electric motors, but also the solar panels which some people want to use to charge their Tesla vehicle. The electric vehicle market is a niche market for well heeled individuals to virtue signal, and pay whatever costs are needed so that they can continue to virtue signal. Will Tesla be a good investment 20 years from now? Perhaps.... but, is Tesla a good investment in 2023 or 2024? Are you kidding me??

I've been saying for years that we need a $20,000 EV but people seem to think any less than 200 miles of range is useless. Most Americans need to drive less than 40 miles a day. But it's not possible for Tesla to make profits at that price, because they have shunned over 100 years of efficiency improvements used by legacy automakers in favor of space age materials and processes having nothing to do with performance or economy. It's a luxury car designed for hip influencer types, not a practical vehicle designed to solve a transportation problem. The big automakers, not Tesla, will be the first ones to produce a practical consumer EV, if it ever happens.

I remember when working in nuclear a 10 gram piece of fuel had the same power of 1,000 kg of coal. So while odd comparisons, I think if you step right back from it, I can imagine a time when a solid state car battery will weigh say 50 kg, so a 10th of the current primitive lithium ion batteries. If these analysts can at least acknowledge the fact that Tesla constantly over-promises and under-delivers, that at least would make them look better with more creditability. The new bigger Tesla battery cells are producing less range for all models, their new 2024 cars have shorter ranges compared to 2023 models. Then, the Autopilot FSD is constantly postponed from one year to the next since promised to be "fully autonomous" by end of 2017. The promised timeline of new products also always get postponed, Cybertruck has been delayed for 4.5 years, Semis 4 years, Tesla Roadster 5 years; not to mention the over-promise of 500 plus miles of range for the Cybertruck, now is only 315 miles on paper and many new owners have tested the range of their Cybertrucks, which only gets between 180 miles and 250 miles in real world driving. Tesla has a history of over-promising and under-delivering. I don't know if Tesla should be one of seven magnificent stocks since all the other six magnificent stocks can delivery their promise; only Tesla cannot. Bummer. Hello analysts, open your eyes.

No no no. Look up comparable BEV cars (by price range) and see how the competition does

I have already seen for two months this year how the competition is doing....in China. With my own eyes. I would never buy Tesla stock, after seeing all those different brands of EVs there. Its completely saturated. A buyer chooses between literally a hundred different EV models. Convince me that Tesla has something justifying their premium price, because right now I would buy a NIO in China for $40000. Share in China: BYD 30%, Tesla 10%. Every taxi is a BYD. IMO, a better bet will be NIO $5 to $10, instead of Tesla $200 to $400.

@@cowymtber Sure, BYD is cheap in China. But neither the US or Europe is going to allow them to import their cars there without a hefty tax, in order to protect the domestic EV manufacturer. The Chinese would like to monopolize the market, so they are willing to sell below cost, plus they’re heavily subsidized by the Chinese government. Pepsi Cola in California has used BYD electric trucks, but is now turning to Tesla trucks for a better deal. There’s enough customers out there for everyone. In America, Tesla is setting up to be the toll bridge of charging stations for ALL electric cars including Mercedes, BMW and Volvo, and a major supplier of lithium batteries. The $25,000 car will eliminate all the legacy auto EV’s. The most advanced compatible FSD software will be sold to millions of EV drivers. Tesla is just warming up.

No, only BYD comes close, and byd's quality is still in question, on top, like any Chinese company, it is dependant on the CCPs favour. If byds CEO walks the wrong walk, talks the wrong talk, he will go on a holiday for a couple of weeks sponsored by the CCP.

I was advised to diversify my portfoIio among several assets such as stocks and bonds since this can protect my portfolio for retirement of about $150k. I want to know: Do I keep contributing to my portfolio in these unstable markets, or do I look into alternative sectors?

It's really hard to beat the market as a mere investor. It's just better if you invest with the help of a professional understands the market dynamics better.

Picking stocks is a risky thing to do, particularly for non-professionals. I learnt that in 2020, when I lost almost everything. But I switched to using a financial advisor and I've been returning at least $38k every month so I’ve been sticking to investing via an Advisor.
