I can never forget when Robyn first came in, she commissioned a piece of art - she took a photo that Christine had of Christine, Kody and three of their kids when they were young, and had an artist REPLACE Christine and her kids with Robyn and HER three kids (about the same age at the time of that photo with Christine) and gave it as a gift to Kody - essentially, overwriting Christine and her children with Kody, as well as, overwriting the kids' real father.

My gut feeling is that Cody will really end up missing Christine. Out of all his wives, she alone was the impulsive fun one. Christine did work she admitted it on on earlier season. She would school all the little ones when they stayed in Utah consisting of three apartments. Christine was in the basement and if Janelle wanted to see her or the kids wanted to get to Christine Meri refused for them to go through her lounge so it would force Janelle and her kids to go outside in rain and snow to get to Christine. In the episode Christine advised that she worked at night after tutoring young kids all day, looking after them plus cooking for them. She confirmed that as she was away at work she asked Kody to tuck THEIR little kids (Kody and hers) when they were ready for bed and he refused saying he had too many other obligations - gosh she asked for their dad to tuck them in as she was working he just refused. Her eldest daughter Aspen tucked the little ones in for her. Kody is seriously hideous. Just wanted to make sure everyone knows that Christine after a full day went to a night job. Cannot believe how Kody treated her - the marriage starting on a downhill slide from then and I do not blame her at all I would have left before she did. Kody uses his wives to support his unworking lazy Robyn with the income from the other 3. Meri and Janelle used their profits from Las Vagas for Robyns house it is madness. A court of law would seriously rule that the money Robyn has used would have to be paid back to the rightful owners. Hopefully they do.

Solomon and Truly are less than 2 years apart in age. Kody knew Truly was in town. Robyn even drove by with the kids to wave, as if to say "we'd love to have you over Truly, but Covid, except for weddings with a bunch of strangers, and Nannies that actually bring Covid home) It went from our children to my children or her children is when Robyn came into the family and started causing issues with how she felt "her children" were not being included by the other kids. That began the divide. There is an episode in the first or second season when the older boys get in trouble for bullying Dayton. That is also around the time Robyn tells us that Dayton was diagnosed with autism by a doctor, but she looked at all the symptoms and diagnosed him herself. Anyways, the way that situation was treated, with Kody siding 100% with Robyn and not listening to his other children set up this yours and mine attitude that never existed in the family before, except by Meri who always set Mariah apart from all the other kids. In the cult de sac Christine brought up how Kody responds to Robyn when she disagree with him v how Kody responds to all the other wives. He listens to Robyn but treats the other wives like they aren't allowed an opinion, unless it agrees with him.

I think the problem with the show historically is that it tends to drag and they do a lot of recaps and flashbacks. It's fun to get your wife's fan perspective and to see the two of you bounce ideas off of each other but you could probably do it with clips. So somewhere inbetween your other videos and this format. I would also love for you guys to rewatch earlier seasons to watch the evolution of Robyn's role in the family. As far as Robyn, I think we have to remember that she had lived monogamy for like 10 years before Kody whereas the OG wives have almost always had to share his time and were expected to handle most things on their own. He had also been married to the other wives almost 15-20 years ( year which had included conflicts, money issues including 3 bankruptcies and the stresses that come with struggling to raise a large family). Robyn was a clean slate, was appreciative of being taken in with her kids and 30k in debt plus they were in the honeymoon phase. As you stated, I don't think Robyn is malicious but she is very self centered. A lot of what she and Kody did early on stepped on a lot of toes. They courted when Christine was heavily pregnant with Truely and Robyn lived several hours away so he would go have overnight visits and we see them kissing even though both of those things are big no nos in their culture. He was actually on camera kissing Robyn when Christine called to say she was in labor. When they did get married, she made a big show of going dress shopping with the sister wives even though it later came out that she had already gone with Kody and he picked out her dress. Then she and Kody went on an 11 day Hawaiian honeymoon while all of the other wives were home with younger kids (Christine with a newborn). So if youwanted to set the stage for alienation and resentment, you really couldn't do a more thorough job.

Because even though Robyn never says it, Robyn is against the one house idea. And I think Meri is too. Both of them held their opinions and let Christine take down the idea because then she would be the bad guy, but they don’t have to stick their necks out.

I think that Meri was trying to say that her value was being assessed through the lens of her relationship with Kody. It seems like she would like to be viewed as just Meri, not the Meri who has selected to remain with a man that doesn’t love her. I don’t know, that’s just how I received it.

I know Meri has gotten a ton of "why do you stay?" from the audience over the years, but she's ignoring the blowback she's currently receiving after these recent episodes aired where she was sitting and scowling while Kody & Robyn angrily attacked Christine. Of ALL people Meri should have empathy for Christine. And Christine isn't the one who had an emotional affair. She made the difficult and brave decision to leave the abuse & neglect and get herself and Truely to a healthier environment. The lack of self-awareness and hypocrisy is astounding with Meri, and that's what she's been hearing from viewers.
@BamaGirl_752 жыл бұрын
Yes!! And anytime she tells the catfish story she always says she was tricked by a woman pretending to be a man. She never says she was woo'ed in by a man who said all the things she needed to hear & who she wanted to leave Kody for, but he turned out to be a woman. It's like she's convinced herself that she did nothing wrong bc it turned out to be a woman instead of a man.
@fledge12342 жыл бұрын
@@BamaGirl_75 And she insists that it never crossed her mind to leave the family. She was never going to do that, even though we know that's not true, and she even says "oh sure, I was considering all my options." Of course she was. She just can't be real about it now, for some reason. And her revisionist history allows her to have the audacity to coldly judge Christine for doing something she was once very close to doing herself.
@MarieAntoinetteandherlittlesis Жыл бұрын
Her AND Robyn! Of all the people, Meri should be able to understand because she’s been in a horrible relationship with the same man, and she’s also the target of his vitriol. Robyn should be able to understand because she was also in a bad marriage once before, and reportedly went through a bad divorce. She could have empathy for Christine’s position if she really tried. She tries to act like she’s always been perfect and cannot understand why Christine would want to leave a bad, loveless marriage. Meri and Robyn could’ve been a huge support system for Christine, but it ends up being only Janelle because Janelle is the only “good” sisterwife.

In my opinion Kody used covid rules as a way of trying to get rid of his wives ..the reason he is NOT wanting Jenelle to build is because he wants the property given to him by each wife that leaves...and then the FIVE lots will be Robyn's kids to build on...5 kids 5 lots...keeping Robyn in her million dollar home...he and Robyn has started an LLC dabark which is initials of her kids and Robyn and kody...plus Robyn and kody names are on every lot at coyote pass...

Christine has morned the loss of her marriage for about 3 years she has had the highs and lows, felt the saddness and he never once did he sence this. She needed more from him than he could give her. Once she found the courage to say I can do this on my own - well just look at her - she looks happy content, and at peace with her life. Someone needs to remind Kody you get out of life what you put into it.

Robin and Cody like to always put it out there that they helped Christine get her house, yet they leave out the fact that Janelle and Mary financed them getting into their house. If Cody loves Christine’s house so much, then he and Robin should buy that house and sell the one they are in. Maybe the money they would save could pay off coyote pass. They won’t do that though because they don’t seem to want to sacrifice anything, just take.

Janelle needs to talk to a lawyer. There are three elements that form a legally binding contract (written or verbal). Offer, acceptance and consideration ($$$). All those family discussions about selling homes in Las Vegas, buying Coyote Pass properties, etc. contained offers and acceptance. Once Janelle and Meri turned over money, the third element was there creating a binding contract between them and the others. Kody is contractually obligated to whatever carrot he dangled in front of Janelle to get his grubby hands on her money. As I remember, it was a home on her lot out at Coyote pass. All of the wives and Kody that were present at those meetings are party to the contract(s) that were made with Janelle. That means Meri, Robin and Kody are all legally on the hook for Janelle's house. She could probably force the contract and possibly even win damages for breach of contract. Since they're all so broke and the only assets they have are the lots at Coyote Pass, Janelle could end up with everything. Wouldn't that be sweet Karma justice!!

You're forgetting an important piece of contract law which is the statute of frauds doctrine, codified in most states, including Arizona, which requires certain contracts, most notably those involving REAL ESTATE need to be IN WRITING!!! (law school > google)

Agree! Appreciate the effort to speak to Robyn’s position but binge-watching prior episodes are hugely important to understand Kody was courting Robyn while Christine was pregnant with Turkey. Kody was NOT sensitive to Christine as a pregnant woman and post/partum mom who watched her husband drooling over younger prettier Robyn while she was left with an infant for 11 days while Kody and Robyn went on their honeymoon I think that was the basis of Christine’s jealousy and insecurity in her relationship with Kody. Kody resented her feelings and punished her for having feelings that ANY woman could related to

35:00 Solomon is only a year or so younger than Truely. Christine and Robyn could have raised those three younger kids together and ther older kids were similar ages too. However Robyn actively disagreed how the other children were being raised. She kept herself distant from them and then insisted on Kody being there for her children and her more than he was there for the other children. If you go back and watch previous episodes you can see it woven through the entire 17 seasons.
@Lisa-o7f3t2 жыл бұрын
love these reaction videos! on the topic of Robyn wanting more than the other wives (more time, more money) etc. I think this is what is most frustrating to watch. her and Kody both use the fact that Robyn has "little kids" as a reason why Kody has to spend so much time over there and it's completely unfair when you consider that Truely is 12 and Solomon is 11. if Sol is a "little kid" then so is Truely. I think Ariella is almost 7 (5 almost 6 when these episodes were filmed) but he doesn't need to ignore 13 other kids just to focus on his very youngest. I don't think Robyn came into the family with malicious intent but I also don't think she has done anything to make sure things are fair. she uses her position as Kody's obvious favorite to secure whatever she wants. at the end of the day though Kody is the one that didn't balance his time equally and treat his partner as an equal. I'm happy Christine left and I hope Janelle follows

I see Robyn’s behavior as passive aggressive and straight out of Kody’s playbook. It’s like she going to act like she’s giving Christine what she asked for and respecting her feelings but it’s complete BS and totally manipulative. She’s punishing Christine and acting like “I’m just respecting her wishes”. She’s a classic manipulator and a toxic personality.

It would take years of therapy on kody's part to recognize that he's a narcissist. He's got a partner in Robyn that feeds his narcissism and why would he ever give that up? She's also a narcissist, so right now they are just manipulating each other which is fascinating to watch. Kody thinks he is own man and he's not. He has zero clue that he's being manipulated by Robyn! She's just sitting there manipulating the hell out of him and convincing him that he's large and in charge. However, the day will come when he figures out that he's been her puppet and it's not going to be pretty
@BamaGirl_752 жыл бұрын
Not sure how much you know about narcissists, but it wouldn't matter if someone called him on it. They literally don't have the capacity to see anything wrong with their actions. One of my favorite memes says "Trying to understand the behavior of some people is like trying to smell the color nine." That's the only way to cope with dealing with a narcissist... You just have to accept that their logic is illogical & move on.
