I really enjoyed this one, i couldn’t understand where it was going at all at first but when the girls started talking I was hooked by the conversation. I enjoyed how they showed the lack of support and the feeling of not belonging “in life” so much so that running away with her dead friend into the dark lake actually sounded pleasant and magical even though more than likely that would mean she would die too. Just a good short, great acting and amazing visuals. :)

I think way back in deep dark corners of her mind she still feels guilt for failing the young girl who died. After all it was her job to make sure the kids were safe. And extra guilt for picking on her. But fast forward through her own life she went through, she experienced the life the young girl didn’t and I guess the moral of the story is..... no matter how shitty your life is it’s really not as bad as you think. I mean you could be dead...right?

This was such a cool take to a film. I’ve never seen this kind done before absolutely perfect. This had an unsettling but such a comforting touch at the same time. It brought me weird and easeful all together. The darkness that is this film didn’t seem like that at all that death maybe couldn’t be happier. It’s crazy to think that from the outside we think people have it all handed to them or they have their shit together. When in reality they are just as lost as us, and we never clue into that until it’s too late. The green and watery atmosphere really tied this film all together, really felt like I was in the dark lake camp. Really well done!

I love this! I've definitely understood the feeling of being lonely and not fitting in. The way death sometimes calls out to you and you dont actively think you're suicidal is very real. Masterful writing, Beth, and Michael-your captivating Direction is award worthy and eerily thought provoking . I was drawn into this fantasy world of humor, horror and life lessons and couldn't look away. I think we all regret our past dealings in one way or another, and you skillfully made me think. You brought out this uncomfortable human condition and made us all realize that what we do in our pasts affects and molds our futures. Its ok to feel remorse and strive to be better people . Thank you.

Bonnie watering the plant - mwah, Chef's kiss Nice touch on choosing between real life "friends" and drowning to join a person who cares Wouldn't mind a film that starts out as the bathtub scene essentially (dark comedy) but devolves into the hairbrush scene( tense creepiness ) as the bullying, abandonment and resentment builds and needs to be resolved.

Funny and weird, and then creepy, then disturbing, then sad. Well done. I'm always glad not to have read the synopsis first. I had no expectations, and the film gave me none.
