Sometimes, it does happen. I really haven’t checked the resumes of the people involved with the shorts here. However, on DUST, which is ALTER’s science fiction sister channel, there is a short film titled “Apocalypse Now Now”. Its director Michael Matthews went on to direct “Love and Monsters”. So, yes, Hollywood DOES sometimes hire these people.

ok that attempt to shoot himself after having his throat ripped out was a good touch. too many times people get their throats cut in movies and they act like the automatically die. he had the presence left to want to end it quickly. so cudos to the writer/director that added that.

i had an interpretation on " boo".. to me, the guy is decent but its hard to have a relationship with a drug addict or a alcoholic, they will drain you in the end and they cannot help it, they will ruin you in the end. the vampire really love his human lover but her vampirism has already taken her mind

If you like this channel then definitely try *DUST* …..It’s just like ALTER except with a Sci-Fi/Fantasy twist. You’ll find amazing shorts & series there, just like you find here. Another channel I recommend is *OMELETO* . That one has a mixture of EVERYTHING when it comes to shorts: Action, adventure, horror, thrillers, sci-fi, fantasy, comedy, dramas. There’s even cartoons on both of them. Sorry if you already know about them both *but* , I figured I figured I had better mention them in case you DIDNT know about them. Especially seeing how pleased you are with ALTER; It would definitely be criminal of me to NOT say something to you about the other two channels. Cheers🤘

Oh my! Since the title is vol. 1, i would assume there'll be more along this theme. WOW! As a tweenager in the early 70s, I grew up watching late night horror films on weekend nights. This was before cable TV, only three-four channels (ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS). The Hammer films were my favorite. Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee and so on. This took me back in some of these films. I really liked the last one; nice twist on vampires doing "sobriety". Brilliant films, all.

VW - VW is epic and badass movie, that needs a tv show. It was fun and I thought that it would be a vampire movie since it is a good guy vampire theme, but turned out to be Werewolves. It was really interesting and I love every hit of it Tick - Tick is an emotional movie more like making the humans enemies and vampires heroes or, "survivors". Boo - Boo was very scary and the ending was best showing that all the addicts were vampires. But I didn't saw the concept of Good Guy Vampire theme in this movie, because she killed her own fiance. It was more like the study of a psychological behavior of an addict

Depends on the story. I've seen some where it's only sunlight, while others do things like ultraviolet light (same part of sunlight that can give people a sunburn) also burns vampires very badly.

I've been watching this movie I think for two or three years now and I never get tired of it. So well done I would love to see a whole series with these two brothers crisscrossing the country. The transformations at the end are subtle but effective. I really love how the main alpha villain tries to shoot himself in the head but instead wines upbeat dinner. A complete story I think it's one of the best horror shortsI've ever scene

They seemed more like werewolves than vampires, like they half transformed into werewolves. The Ears, The full Moon with the Howling, the growling when transforming. What vampire growls and howls and transforms under the full moon? I swear the one dude got hairier when transforming. And when do Vampires need to transform at all. I thought they were just always in a Vampire state they just get more pale and eyes turn red when they get more blood lust.

Loved this one, the transformation and the sound effects, holy wet ripping and tearing. This should be a series or something, its good. Makes me think of the other series about vampires, what we do in the dark, I think. Good name for the short, it throws you off until you get to the transformation part. Again really well done, lol Had to add an edit for the vampiress and her staying sober for seven years, he ending......it sucked for both of them.
