Scorpions has a lot of hard rock songs... Their ballads like "Still lovin' you" ... 'Wind of change'... 'Send me an angel'... 'Holiday'... have been their biggest hits cos they appeal to the women... But they have mostly hard rock songs like - 'Rock you like a hurricane' ... 'No one like you' ... 'Rhythm of love' ... "The Zoo" ... 'Bad boys running wild'... 🤘🤘 Originally, Scorpions began in 1965 as a beat rock combo that covered English songs that were popular in the 60's... Rudolf Schenker (guitar) formed the band and was their original singer. He stepped aside by 1970 as Klaus Meine (vocals) joined the Scorpions w/ his kid brother Michael Schenker (lead guitar)... and they wrote their first album 'Lonesome Crow'... which was released in 1972 - it was a mix of jazz and psychedelic rock, heavily influenced by Jimi Hendrix and Cream... and it was a different line-up w/ Lothar Heimberg (bass) and Wolfgang Dziony (drums) ... Listen to early songs like - "I'm goin' mad" ... 'Leave me'... Michael Schenker left Scorpions in 1973 to join UK rock band U.F.O. ... and Scorpions broke up. In 1974, Klaus and Rudolf joined forces w/ Francis Buccholz (bass) and Ulrich Roth (lead guitar, now Uli Jon Roth) and decided to carry on as Scorpions... finding a steady drummer was a work in progress but Herman Rarebell (drums) joined by 1977... Scorpions recorded several albums in the 70's but were unable to tour outside Europe... They were famous for early songs like - "We'll burn the sky"... "Speedy's coming"... 'In trance' ... 'Yellow Raven'... 'Sails of Charon'... etc. They recorded a double live album 'Tokyo Tapes' in 1978 on their first tour of Japan before Ulrich Roth left Scorpions that year. Lead guitarist Michael Schenker came back to the Scorpions briefly and helped record their 1979 album 'Lovedrive' before leaving again. Matthias Jabs (lead guitar) joined permanently in 1979 and Scorpions did their first US tour that year... 'Lovedrive' sold gold in the US and the next album 'Animal magnetism' sold platinum. Scorpions dominated the 80's w/ their hard rock tunes and touching ballads as they toured in arenas and stadiums across the world... "Still lovin' you" was one of their biggest singles in 1984... They scored a 2x platinum record in 1990 ('Crazy world') w/ the hit ballad 'Wind of change'. In the 90's, grunge rock came in and decimated Scorpions' popularity... albums like 'Face the heat' (1993) and 'Pure instinct' (1996) did not sell commercially... Bassist Francis Buccholz left the band by 1992 and drummer Herman Rarebell left in 1995. However, Scorpions never gave up and carried on w/ bassist Ralph Rieckermann and drummer James Kottak. Some of the underrated songs from this era - 'Under the same Sun'... 'To be number 1' ... 'Wild child' ... 'No pain no gain'... In 2004, Pawel Maciwoda (bass) joined Scorpions and their career started picking up again w/ their 2007 album 'Humanity Hour 1'... and 2010 album 'Sting of the tail'... They considered retiring in 2014 but decided to carry on as their popularity was bigger than ever. However, drummer James Kottak was fired in 2015 and replaced in 2016 by former Motorhead drummer Mikkey Dee. Their latest album 'Rock believer' was released in 2022. Some of the newer Scorpions songs include - 'Humanity'... 'Follow your heart' ... 'Raised on rock' ... "When you know (where you come from)"... 'New generation'... 🤘🤘

IMHO one of the best rock bands ever. I saw them live in Arrowhead Stadium and they have to be the best sounding bands I ever heard. They sounded exactly like their records. Goes to show just how little fancy shit goes on when they record and how talented they are. To be honest they never got much radio play.

Power ballad! The song dropped when I was in high school, so listening to it can take me back. I still dig their Lovedrive album the most however -- "Loving You Sunday Morning", "Another Piece of Meat", "Can't Get Enough", "Lovedrive", "Holiday". Check out "Holiday" for another power ballad, or check out "Another Piece of Meat" or "Lovedrive" for some fast driving metal.

Check out their earlier stuff someday. Winds of chiron or whatever. Klause Is amazing singer. Trained. Dio level. The zoo is heavy. Nobody suggest theire ballad stuff please 😅 that's where It went. To me all the good bands started in the seventies killed early eighties then went mainstream and music turned to crud with big contracts forcing things and MTV glam, until grunge. Acdc ended with Flick of the switch. I went to this concert Tacoma dome summer 85 I was 14. Worldwide live tour. A few days before my freshman year started. That's how i started. MY high-school career. Wow crazy crazy times. Btwlj still lovi g you sucks 😂 seriously.
