The Patek Philippe Nautilus Travel Time Chronograph 5990/1A-001 is encased in 40.5mm of stainless steel surrounding a black gradated dial on a stainless steel bracelet. Features of this Patek Philippe Nautilus Travel Time Chronograph include hours, minutes, small seconds, date, dual time and flyback chronograph. The “Bully” as termed by WatchEric is an improved 5980 adding a more romantic radial date & dual time while essentially keeping the dimensions. It’s the kink of the Nautilus range other than precious metal or exotic dial pieces. The left-hand actuators for the travel time do engage inadvertently from time to time so I recommend you set the Skelton hand an hour or two behind the solid hand using that as you primary hour hand. Great watch, but where do you go from here ? The perpetual ? Perhaps it’s your final Nautilus 🎩

Some feel it is too thick, I believe there a good is case diameter/thickness ratio. The home/away am/pm function is also an interesting caliber tweak.

This watch looks very compact for the amount of complications, Patek always seems to manage to make the watch a really nice size, if you look at A.Lange and sohne their watches always seem to be a lot deeper a chunky just look at the Datograph lovely watch but it's really large on the wrist and I have an 8 1/4 inch wrist and it's large on my wrist, the Patek watches never have this problem. I suppose that's why they are reckoned to be the best and when you look at this watch you can see just how good they are.

Not really maybe the older ones not the recent models - I think a.lange are on the same level maybe higher with regards to finishing...

SEA Brownie The original comment makes no reference to finishing, he’s just saying that PP are better at packing complications into small packages, which, despite ALS being my favourite brand, ALS just aren’t as good at it and as a result their complicated watches are quite thick/large

I like the idea of this reference i.e. how it packs three useful complications in Nautilus form, but there is just something missing in the execution (or maybe they just tried too hard) for me. The travel time pushers in the shape of the 'ears' is clever but somewhat takes away the original form factor of the nautilus case and the dial combined with the nautilus design makes it all too busy for me as a package. IMO, Nautilus/Royal Oaks are best as three handers.

I wonder if they could have integrated the chronograph pushers into the "wing" on the crown side like they do for the dual time function on opposite side. That would look even cleaner.

Agreed on those cities but wasn’t talking about the hippies just all the peace loving protesters..lol Here in Naples FL some think of the Nautilus line as daily beaters...on a side note this is my favorite Nautilus variant, what an all around package... but my all time favorite Patek line are the 5970’s any variant though the 5970J yellow gold and 5970P platinum are truly jaw dropping pieces.

But it's a unique design that stands out. The fact you don't like it doesn't mean others don't. I didn't care for it in the past but now I think it's one of the coolest watches ever. Unfortunately at current market prices out of my reach.
