Hi everyone! This is Andrew McGee, director, editor, and co-writer of Venus. A huge amount of work went into this short and I’m so grateful to the incredibly talented cast and crew who made it possible. I’m currently developing Venus into a feature film, so hopefully this is just the beginning of Iris’s story… I’d love to hear your thoughts and answer any questions, whether it’s about the story or its production. Interesting choice in a purpleish spectrum. It's a rare work when I see what approximates what I see in UV-C. UV-B and A tend to be ore violet. A biologist suggested downconversion by proteins, no reason to argue. Cataract surgery, removed a damaged by trauma lens and replaced it with an uncoated lens. I also see brilliantly a near IR illumination device and worse, laser.

This honestly felt more emotionally resonant than 60h of Cyberpunk 2077! The particle disintegration CGI effects in the consciousness transfer sequence were a bit dodgy but everything else was honestly Hollywood level! You should be proud of your hard work Andrew! Xo take care

Incredibly well done. Sometimes the DUST selections can be a bit underwhelming, but this production is 100% spot on, and then some. Interesting twist on an otherwise typical "rouge AI" story. Very unique approach to the concept, production quality and acting fit the story perfectly. This could easily be expanded into a full length feature film. I would actually go to a theater to see "Venus", the movie. One thing that was a bit unclear, why Venus? Symbolic of the feminine archetype perhaps, but as a planet, completely uninhabitable.
