fun fact, I'm inside an oil rig, my watch is showing -40m of altitude all the time even when I'm 20m or so above water, this is because atmospheric pressure inside the accommodations is increased because of safety concerns, the ggb100 reads it as being below sea level, amazing!

As far as I can tell this watch uses your actual latitude and longitude to calculate sunrise and sunset. I think the latitude and longitude is updated each time an automatic or manual update of the time is performed. The times calculated by my watch been very accurate. So far it has never been off by more than one minute.

Such a good video. I have always thought Mudmaster is an overkill but now I am amazed that I have gone camping or paragliding without this. Would have been been amazing to have all this readily available on the wrist without having to faff around with the smartphone when you have hiking poles in both hands. And it would be really assuring to have a backup compass that is near indestructible.

Wow you made this so much easier, far superior to Casio’s own instructions. I mean the manual that came with the watch was a joke! Anyway I very much appreciate that you take the time to make these videos to help us technologically challenged people. By the way your English is bloody good! I understood everything you said clearly only with an accent. I’m ashamed to say that I only speak English now. I spoke French as a child but lost it. Alrighty thanks again for making this. Take care

I just picked up the GG-B100 and these videos are invaluable. The one negative is I bought the black watch and seeing your video with the green, your watch face is much easier to read and now I want to exchange it.
@Olm93 жыл бұрын
I'm considering buying this one (1A3ER) or the 1AER. Have you any idea why there's a difference in price between the two? - and the Blackout, you bought for that matter. It's basically the same watch I reckon..
@ashokkumar-zw8vi2 жыл бұрын
@@Olm9 i know this is a year old comment but i will just reply it assuming if you havent bought it. I have the 1A3ER. The same model in the video. Seriously,if you want clarity in the watch face,go for 1A3ER. Yeah i dont really like the fact thr band is in green because i really love the the black band in the 1AER with the coordinate line and the red seconds hand but the problem is the watch face is dull,the number is in grey and not good for dark environtment. The orange 1A9 is good too but it has orange seconds hand and the coordinates line is in orange too,not too reflective in the dark. The blackout is totallly the worse if you have low light because it doesnt reflect any light whatsoever,and eventhough you are using the insanely bright LED they have given in this watch,it is still hard to see. So conclusion i recommend the same model in the video,the same i have. It has the best visibility in every condition. The white numbers and yellow seconds hand and coordinate line,sometimes you dont even need to turn the LED on in very low light because it has amazing light reflectiveness. And also not forgetting the lume. It is very,very good. Almost like there is a uranium around your wrist rather than a watch because thats how insanely bright it glows in the dark. You dont even need to charge the lume with UV. Just wear your watch,go to work or somrthing in a bright place for a while and there you go. It is enough to charge the lume. Seriously im having fun with this watch. The best Gshock i have ever bought. In my opinion this is better than GWG1000. I have both,i use to wear the GWG everyday but since i bought GG B100,i dont know when is the last time i worn GWG. The only problem i have with this watch is there is no solar charging. Other than that everythig is perfect. Eventhough no solar charging,i bought this watch a year ago and i still havent changed the battery. I use the compass and gps/bluetooth function a lot for my work use but still the watch is going strong. No sign of low battery. I think Casio given the 2 years battery figure because they taken using the functions a lot in the account too when calculating the estimation for the battery.
@Intensecure2 жыл бұрын
@@ashokkumar-zw8vi Absolutely agree. I love black out models for my more "fashion" G-Shocks, but I just bought the green because the dial and hands are just perfect! Good to hear about the battery, I have no issues changing it but it's good to know that it lasts a while. 👍🏻👍🏻

@@ashokkumar-zw8vi Interesting. I didn't know what the differences in the model numbers were. I just went off looks via the shop window. Mine is the orange colour. Do you know what the difference is between GG-B100Y and GG-B100? Y stands for 'Yellow' I'm guessing? The GG-B100Y is a lot cheaper than the GG-B100.

Man i remember this guy,when i bought this watch,i was looking for tutorial video and found this guy's video,watch it and immidiately wow'ed by his presentation and subscribed. And that time he only has 20k or 10k subs only. I thought this guy's tutorial is so good,its so detailed but why he has less subs and its not fair. I started to recommend him to my friends and family here he is today a year later,with 112k subs. Im so happy for Watch Geek. His every tutorial for Gshocks is insanely detailed. And his presentation is very,very good. This guy deserves more subs than this. Lets support him guys so that he can keep making this type of insanely detailed tutorial for us. And i came to this video today because i have forgotten how to Clear All in the Barometer data lol. And i was shocked to see his subs count. Good luck WatchGeek.

First off - great video. You did very well presenting all of the info, and in English rather than whatever your native language is. I love these watches. To me, they are just cool. But I’d like to know if anyone uses these functions. The barometer is the most useful, to me. People who would use direction and altitude probably use a dedicated GPS unit. I have a Mudmaster GG100A with a compass and thermometer . I love that watch but to be honest.... You can only use it outdoors clear of power lines. The thermometer only accurately measures the temperature once it’s off your wrist for 30 minutes.

Very informative series of videos, helps me get a grip of what this watch does. I've just bought the GG-B100-A3ER. Lovely watch very comfy on my wrist, great features, superb build quality and a Tiger Tank of a Watch. With the strap as I've got small wrists I've found a perfect balance for wearing it, I wear it on the 6th hold set, leaving five holes free either side. My first G Shock and a replacement for my Garmin Fenix Six Pro Solar, don't miss the regular charging and also the issue with my wrist reacting to the strap material.

Thank you for the very informative video. I have been considering buying this watch for a few days and looking for as much information about the advanced functions and this video helps a lot. This is an amazing watch but even more amazing is you! You actually remember all of the details on how to use all of the functions! I’d probably need to carry the manual with me to use all of the functions when I need it. I know it’s been a while since you posted this video but if you do come back to this video and read my comment, perhaps you can answer this question for me (and for whomever else this might be useful to) : aside from this mudmaster, are there other watches (regardless of brand) which has similar or better capabilities or features and functions? Many thanks in advance and I look forward to more of your videos.

I calibrate the compass everytime the location changes on the hands. for example it calibrates in the 3rd hour hand until 5am and then the calibration hand moves from the the 3rd hour hand to the 8th hour hand. after 9am it switches to the 9th hour hand and I believe after 10am it moves to the 2nd hour hand. If you want more accurate readouts inbetween those times you can use 2 point calibration. for example a lateral readout at odd hours instead of finding a single bearing during those odd times.

This watch seems like the best bang per buck in the g shock lineup. I went from zero interest to pretty sure I’m buying one lol after this video, part one, and the initial review. Stupid question as I live in the north woods with little to no cell coverage... Does the phone still pull data from the phone when the phone is out of cell range but within Bluetooth range of the watch? In particular I’m talking time AND sunrise/sunset info for your specific latitude and longitude?
@ashokkumar-zw8vi2 жыл бұрын
Yes it can. Because your phone will store the data for some time or when you get your connection back. So you can use it. You can even use the gps/location function too but you wont be able to use the map if there is no internet connection.
