Great show WG! To me the Tudor black bay is a 40 year old proud of there history and happy to talk to anyone who brings it up! The Sub!! Well that's someone that's had a past, only wants to look forward and doesn't want to talk about the past!!?? AM I RIGHT??? If the BB had the knurling of the sub on the bezel that would ooooffff I prefer the 60 click on a bb than a 120 sub! Bracelet, the Rolly is unbeatable! Have a lovely Sunday!!!

This is a great comparison, and it only reinforces my feeling that I massively prefer the BB58 on every level: price/value, aesthetics, materials (can’t stand ceramic), dimensions, wearing experience, and brand (I don’t love the unwanted attention Rolex brings). Sophisticated but indestructible horology with fine finishing. I get that Rolex makes better clasps, etc., but Grand Seiko’s finishing and detail trumps Rolex IMHO. It is ironic that Seiko, the king pin of dive watches, has not been more successful with GS dive references but one day that will change. As between a Tudor BB 58 and a Rolex Submariner, I would pick the Tudor as it is more in keeping with what a tool watch should be in terms of the historic values of Hans Wilsdorf.

However, I have bonded more with my Tudor, as it has a certain vintage charm that the Rolex lacks (and it is lighter, especially on its Forstner jubilee bracelet, which adds to its comfort on wrist and its vintage charm).

Has you rolex ever attracted the attention of the criminal fraternity ! Is this something i should consider when buying a rolex ???
@dannyg6592 Жыл бұрын
@@gordonmclees95I've never had a problem wearing the Sub, but I'm smart about when to wear it and when not to. The green bezel is an attention getter. One needs to have situational awareness when wearing a Rolex in public. Cheers!

I got both sub and bb58 blue. Don’t know…. some reason I reach bb58 more then sub. I think because of brand ROLEX I am afraid that people Judge me how aggressive to get this sub. Its a good watch unfortunately brand is a bit dirty now. Sub is sitting in my watch box most of time.

no way you make a video on this topic as I’m debating this myself lol I’m planning to pick up a bb58 by the end of this year 🤝

Ahhh noooo way!!! Well! When it comes to these two watches - there really is no bad choice. I will always pick the BB58 tho personally. 💕💕 Also! You never know! There might be something at Watches & Wonders this year that really tickles your fancy!

I had the new Sub for a bit. My issue was the clasp. I have the Hulk and the clasp is long but doable. The new iteration clasp is too wide. I recently picked up the Tudor Pelagos 39. Love it

Ouuu Michelle these are some good thoughts! Big big congrats for getting the P39!!! What a watch!

Hi Britt, Many of the points you brought up are the same reasons I think the Pelagos 39 is an ideal watch for me. Just wish P39 wasn’t so hard to get…

Sub is the better watch with its iconic looks, rich history, and top build quality (ceramic bezel, glidelock, materials used and finishing ). However, the sub wears large on a lady's hand so the Tudor might look better on some smaller wrists !

Black bay 58 every day, I like the bronze too but the watch which has caught my attention is the Christopher Ward C65 Aquitaine Bronze Great review 👍

Perhaps the Pelagos 39, although titanium is not for everyone? Greetings from Edmonton Canada! Love your channel and perspective!

Oh it definitely isn't for everyone!

Black Bay is more versatile, looks a bit more dressy and less like a toolwatch. It's a nice watch and does not attract unwanted attention in cities. However sub is iconic and a must have in the collection.

Love my Pelagos 2-liner. But can't stop looking at the BB58 925! But i'd also settle for a no-date sub. Umm, I need more wrists.

Omg I love the 925!! The silver is sooo magical!

Great video. On your BB have you ever looked at the triangle on the dial and the shield logo underneath? I have the black/gold gilt dial BB58 and I noticed that on some of the dials the triangle point doesn't align with the center prong of the shield, and on others it does. It looks like there are variations because the triangle and indices are hand applied? Once you see you can't unsee. It's interesting. It's the same with other Tudor dials too.

I’ve owned both. A Cermit and a no-date 41mm. And two BB58 blue. Prefer the BB58… So much so that I sold it (Still don’t know why). Then bought another one. Never regretted selling either Sub’.

Entrambi belli e particolari , il suono della lunetta del Sub è stupendo.
