Before they harvest sugar cane, the growers set fire to the fields to burn away the dead material that will make it hard to harvest it. It’s some sight to see! #sugarcane #homehill #australia

Helloo back you Madman. The things you get into are because the Irish are eminently practical and competent at just about anything they put their minds to. Just remember that all blessings are curses, and we are blessed with work.

Back in the days when the harvesting was done by manual labour, the burning off got rid of snakes. Awesome views with the drone, paddy. Did ya take any marshmallows with ya? Good one. Cheers

Kind of makes me think of John Turturros characters saying in Secret Window. " I will burn your life and every person in it like a cane field in a high wind"". Thanks for the upload, great video.

No doubt. But it’s either that or clear it by hand which involves going through a snake infested cane field….

I don't think the Ozzy's are into the emissions scene, the farmers back here are up the creek with the new targets from the greens.

I really dont mean to be so correct and I really love your vids - but maybe you can say "Hello Guys" instead of Hello Lads? There are lots of people who want to follow you. Girls too - nice to include them?

Duly noted however “Lads” doesn’t just refer to males in Ireland. It’s become a catch-all term for anyone. Old habit.
