Why do people want motorcycles or cars to be so loud? What does loud do of them? Serious question

I worked there in 1990 demolishing the buildings including the canteen and squash court. From memory the weir was behind the squash court as we would swim there after work

Good but too much traffic and of course stupid low speed limit and constant road works. Much better roads still around.

The legendary Bonang Road in Far East Gippsland, Victoria is on any serious bikers to ride list. 105kms of endless mountain corners on a challenging run through the forest, now fully sealed and mostly repaired …

I've owned 3 Harley 1200 Sportster models with twin front discs, the Sportster Sport, Roadster and XR1200. An excellent all round mid capacity cruiser. I would like another but truth is I could buy a Meanstreak for much less. Bit heavier than I'd like but saving thousands of dollars is hard to argue with.

Best review going! How tall are you? I’m looking at getting one, I’m 5ft 7/8” would you say it’s doable? Cheers! Gonna watch the rest of your videos now! 🙏

Cheers man! I’m 6’ 3 1/2” however you’ll have no issues at your height. It’s a low bike so you’ll be able to flat foot it without trouble.

I just got back from there today. Where you pulled up at the Wier there is a road (you can see it in your video) across the other side of the main road and that is where the tennis court is. You can still see concrete walls, driveways and kerbing and make out the streets. Further along the road toward the power station is a concrete pad area and stairs which looked to be a shop or post office. Hope this helps for your next trip. 😊

When you stood looking at the weir, you were just upstream from the village. My street was the second street as you drove in from Tully and was directly opposite the large waterfall you saw downstream from the weir.

I lived in Cardstone from 1983-1988 and attended school there. I lived opposite the post office and tennis court. I could see the waterfall out of my bedroom window and went to sleep listening to it every night. I went back 4 years ago and found the slab of the tennis court and my old driveway, a few of the trees were still in the yard. I miss it still today.

That waterfall you showed at 9:05 on the vertical rock face was directly opposite the PS Super's house. It was the first Cardstone house you come across when driving from Tully. So, river and that waterfall on your right and first house on the left; then you come across the village, also on the left. I have to go back again after watching this. 😢😊

10:24 I lived at Cardstone village as a kid from about 1963 to 1967. Was a great time in my life. My father went back later on to work there again in about 1984-5 until he retired. Part of his job as Power Station Superintendent was the dismantling of the village. still love the place even though the village is gone. When I last visited there, it was very hard to recognise the features of the village that I remember from childhood and 20 years later visiting my parents as the rejuvenation of rainforest was well underway. Dad retired in 1987 and left Cardstone then.
