If you think that, than the need to do the Oxley highway over Walcha Mountain in NSW, it has over 300 corners in 130km.

How cool would it be hooking 2 or 3 up together and have them all charge a larger power supply, I would love to have a few mates with 1 each and set them all up to the same supply!

I got diagnosed with MS almost a year ago and I’m 32. I’ve been wanting to get my first street bike and this video has made me want it even more. Life has changed drastically for me but I also have a brand new perspective on my life and how precious living really is. I hope you win this lifelong fight my friend. Stay strong!

Glad you made it to the gas station! I’ve had my share of low fuel anxiety too, gps taking me to a gas station that was no longer in business. Had to turn back and head towards another town and creeped in just in time on my Concours. The joys of solo riding!!

@troutbassncat30252 ай бұрын
I found a great little upgrade for my 06 Mean Streak, and think you'll really appreciate it. The foot pegs from a Vulcan 750 will fit right on it like they were made for it, and they have a rest that extends from the backside of them to put your heels on to prevent fatigue on the long rides. Good luck.🇺🇲 I enjoyed your style of reviewing so much, I've subscribed.

Mate, what's the issue, that you're being overtaken, that they're on Harley's, that nine bikers ride together or...? (I honestly don't get it and I do give you full permission to call me an idiot for not getting the obvious answer)
@PaddyOutback2 ай бұрын
No issue at all. Just a lot of bikes to be passed by at once and I thought it looked cool 💁🏻

@@PaddyOutback K, I just saw the "crying thruogh laughing" and "slap head" emojis and they made it seem like "look at these idiots! HAHAHA". (thanks for clearing it up...and, yes, it does look nice, we're basically starting the season now up here, there's still a TON of gravel on the roads though...)
@leytonmcnamee2 ай бұрын
@@AndersPack you’re upset cause you drive a Harley and you thought this guy was after your ego, the main problem is just if you see a Harley don’t speed or pass them cause they lose their shit like a guy who thinks his pickup is a dragster
@AndersPack2 ай бұрын
@@leytonmcnamee You're wrong, I wondered - as I clearly explained - what he meant and the reason were the two emotes. (which basically means "look at these idiots LMAO) (edit: they may o/c have a different meaning "down under") I have a Midnight Star 1300A so you're wrong there as well I'm afraid. None of the HD riders I know have any issues with that, the only place I've seen it was some video on YT with some 1%'ers that dfid their best to be cool. (and BTW I have 0 issues with 1%'ers as well)

I had a laugh at least. Funny review. And a good one. I mean you mostly buy and ride a bike with your heart, not your head so to speak ;) brilliant in that sense. I have a Buell, that is crazy fun to ride, and right now I´m actually wanting to add a bigger cruiser to have my gf with med , so looking at a Yamaha Warrior xv 1700 or perhaps a MeanStreak 1600 ....hmm.. if its comfy enough for 2 up.

Sorry to burst your bubbles but the Gillies Road in Cairns is not Australia's best and most corners. The Oxley Highway which actually goes from port Macquarie to walcha. The actual Road itself has a lot more corners but the mind section it is famous for is that the bottom of the hill to the other side 300 corners back to back and just when you think you're out of one you go into another. When you get to the top it opens out big wide open Flats infinite view and the road is wide enough to land an aeroplane and if you're brave you can open the throttle write up and keep going until you reach Aspley Falls there you can take a breather and enjoy the waterfall. And also halfway up the Oxley Highway is ginger town good respite and fuel.
@PaddyOutback3 ай бұрын
Not true mate. The Gillies has the most corners in the shortest distance. The Oxley is significantly longer, meaning that the corners aren’t as densely packed.

I have a 2002 Vulcan 1500 Classic, purchased it in October of 2023, because I saw it and loved it. I too could have bought a Harley, still can, but I love my Vulcan. Wheels to the ground, safe riding all.

Just found one of these in Dublin. Would you recommend this for a new rider in a wetter city?
@PaddyOutback3 ай бұрын
Absolutely, yes although make sure it’s an ABS model as it’s less terrifying on damp roads if you have to drop the anchor. That’s not a deal breaker though. Would be savage for zipping around Dublin and more than enough power for when you go beyond the M50.

The gillies is a great ride you must do I did it in 2003 on my evo .a friend lives at Atherton so we went down & back up .not for the faint hearted .they had an unofficial club called the gillies gravel crunchers. You have to come off to be a member I was lucky I kept upright lol .

These days i dont need heaps of power due to speeding laws..if i decide to fang i can use my Ducati Scrambler cafe. I much prefer the look of my original 1975 CB400F four. I guess its horses for courses but IMHO Is too modern and angular for my liking. However, the world would be a boring place if we all liked the same bike. The water cooler detracts from the beauty of a swept 4 into 1 exhaust but understand it would be more reliable especially in hot climates. The aftermarket pipe sounds good but doesnt do it any visual favours. I also prefer the original 400 integrated seat and tank with very little angles. Its just my 2 cents worth and means nothing to anyone but me. A good review though. Thanks Paddy.
