This is my favorite special of the Peanuts franchise. I love its atmosphere, humor and charm. The scene where Linus quotes the Bible to show Charlie Brown what Christmas is all about really hit me on a level when I was little. I think its production is really interesting as the crew had only six months to complete it before December as well as it being an ad for Coca-Cola. It was also hated by the studio but since they put all the money into it, they figured they'd air it once and then never again. That is so funny to think about now. Ultimately, the special was like the tree. All it needed was a little bit of love. Charlie Brown is like all of us in some way. We mess up, fall down but we get back up because life keeps going. Also, his line "I know nobody likes me. Why do we have to a holiday season to emphasize it?" really hits you when you get older. Don't worry that you got this video out after Christmas. That holiday feeling can still be there all year.

It's February now, and I feel like I will watch this video again in a few months, and then again during a heat wave in summer, and then again in November getting stoked for Xmas! :-D Hehehe! I think that creator Charles Schulz would be disappointed that his family sold the property to Apple. I think that he would definitely want the holiday specials to be broadcast on regular tv so that everyone could still watch it. Lucy’s offering 5 cent advice which is usually not very good.

I remember few people that I came across complain about there being no audience in the hall when Linus is telling the meaning of Christmas. And I always wondered, why they complain about it, it's the rehearsal, not an actual play, of course there's no audience.

This is just another Christmas classic. I have no snarky comments to make about this special unfortunately. I'll leave that to you. It's great even though I haven't watched it in years everyone knows about it and is familiar with it. I agree the Christmases in GA are terrible. That's why when I am able to get my own house I'm moving up north to like Alaska or something like that.

Happy New Year Avery, since it is now 31 December in Australia as we are ahead of time, tho the covid 19 cases has gotten bad again which sucks big time. As more older Australian tv & movies uploaded on the internet, sadly having some taken down, made playlists, watched a ton of stuff, playing a lot of different old & new games, had a great Christmas.

I remember Prancer. I went to the Block Buster to rent Prancer and the clerk gave me the Pokémon Movie by mistake. I had to take it back Those are the 7-up Spots, a popular mascot for the company. They even got there own Video Game "Cool Spot" I think you should leave more retro adds in your videos its cute. old time commercials are a thing I want and have asked for and keep a play list of you can watch it in the order I intended it to be in or in random shuffle. An Hour or two at a time or whatever you want to fit. this was not the 1st but one of the 1st specials Peanuts 1st appeared on TV in advertisements. I used to think a sticker on an envelope was the same as postage and the mail boxes connected to pipes that went to other mail boxes. Thats not the little red haired girl calling him hopeless, thats Frieda. Her thing is constantly talking about her naturally curly hair. The LRHG never actually was shown at this time and only appeared MUUUUCH later and still barely. It was always kept ambiguous how she looked or felt about CB with her only ever being descrived by him and occasionally other characters. In the moments she was supposed to be around, she was offscreen with CB or others narrating her action or behaviors in the moment. She showed up to the new year's party in that special but CB fell asleep after exhaustively trying to both read "war and peace" for school AND celebrate the new year. He woke up only to find Linus royally screwed up by dancing with her (offscreen with her never shown) in CB's absence before she had to leave early. Niether CB nor sally were happy with him, but we get the impression he isn't romanticlaly interested depsite enjoying the afair. I think this was also the first time we learn her real name is Heather as she told Linus. Instances like this were the most Charles Schulz would allow to keep our perception of her maily aligned with Charlie Browns. Since he likes her, she would never be shown being mean to him like Frieda. She has to be nice in our assumptions. Of she treated CB bad we wouldn't be so invested. Its the "Alice can't cry" thing from honeymooners.

Peanuts series is great tho. The most recent Blinky Bill tv series intro from 2016 (even tho it's just the 2015 movie's end credits lol) TBH though, isn't as catchy as the 90s theme song not by a long shot or the 90s OST itself kzbin.info/www/bejne/bXfWmpKja52Iabc&ab_channel=BlinkyBill-OfficialChannel It was made a year later after the 2015 Blinky movie, both by Flying Bark Productions who also did the 90s tv show, 1992 & 2005 movies (rip Yoram Gross). There are differences between it, 1984 & 90s-2000s series of Blinky Bill compare to the books. Overall thoughts the CGI series is fine, but yeah stick to the OG 1992-2005 series & 1984 live action & puppet show with the limited eps on the internet lol. Also Avery, i swear Keith Scott & Robyn Moore they voiced like 10-15 characters in many Blinky Bill EPs in the 90s until S3 where they finally added more voice actors & yeah my playlist selection has gotten much wider lol
